Oil energy high prices, have a good effect, it is making people drive less, leading to better traffic conditions with less cars.
Oil Titans know their monopoly in energy, so no one can touch their monoply in energy and energy prices at the moment, unless something to push the price down comes into the drama.
Increased consumption in the developing world - especially China and India - is the primary cause of the rising cost of of oil and other commodities. Beyond discouraging some countries' (e.g., China and Iran)practices of keeping the price of energy artificially low and hoarding, developed countries should accomodate themselves to the higher price level and refrain from looking for scapegoats - like oil companies - to punish.
China,USA and India energy needs, they are big 3 these days having over 42 percent of world populations needs in energy. Globalisation of India/China did not take into account energy woes. Well now globalised genius corporate world, got us into the problem, not they must figure out, a way out of the energy problem. Some inventive energy scientists/corporations, may make the new future megabucks inventions, of alternative new energy industry, which is just waiting to boom in India/China/USA.
Hell guys, there's another 200,000 more barrells a day to speculate on. Until they rein in the speculators, we're going to continue to get screwed. < :-)
You don't get it, do you people?
There is nothing any politician of any country or countries is going to be able to bring down the price of oil. On OPEC can do that, and they have a lock on everything. It is they who control even the big oil companies.
The only thing you people can do, and it would only effect pump price, is to stop driving or driving much less. But, again, that is only going to have an impact at the pump. If the price is forced down too far, the pump companies will just simply close as they are not making as much as what is being perceived, especially in this election. Believe it or not!
Going after traders won't help either. Now, talking to the big OPEC countries would help a bit, but you just had GWB practically go over there on his hands and knees. Even Kuwait, who once thought they could make daddy Bush their president, ain't budging.
Red - After we invade Irak and steal all da awl, we have an exit strategy - we're gonna go through Iran and steal all da awl there too.
Seriously, I don't know how much more OPEC can pump, but it might not be enough to lower prices due to ever-increasing DEMAND. Supply & demand - heck, I learnt that in Economics 101.
