No word from Imprisoned person...because no freedom no voice inside jail. One thing good her wife will go to collect Prize money, that is something very important.

Instead of irritation, China should be proud, chinese people should be proud! Because it is very normal,very natural to be proud when someone of your people receives this Nobel Prize honor.

On related news, Prime Minister Wen says basically the same stuff as Liu, on CNN. "I believe freedom of speech is indispensable for any country ... I often say that we should not only let people have the freedom of speech. We, more importantly, must create conditions to let them criticize the work of the government," he said.

And I actually believe he is sincere. So the question is : will he get purged, or is change actually possible.

Neither. This is typical of their good-cop, bad-cop routine that's been going on for some time. It keeps the hoi polloi off balance.

It's just ass backwards to think of the sheer manpower and resources this country is investing to make sure as few people as possible know that one of their citizens won the Nobel Peace Prize.
