The planned “walk for peace and reunification” is to start off in Pyongyang

Ah, ok. I thought they were going to walk from the South to the North. Either way, it takes courage for these women to be there. Best of luck to you.

At first this seemed like a supremely bad decision, but after reading the article I feel a bit better about their efforts. Not sure it will have much of an effect, but all the best to them.

I had the same reaction, seeing the headline. Then it turns out that this is an NK propaganda stunt. In that case, of course no danger to the women.

Lets wait and see what kind of North Korean propganda stunts this march is accompanied with. Safe to bet that that they will blame South Korea and the evil American imperialists for the division of Korea...

Should have gone the opposite way, preferably unannounced.

How nice. I don't suppose any of these fine ladies have come up with a viable post-unification plan? That's a shame...

They should march to Pyongyang and to Kim Jong Un's residence and demand he turn over the North Korean government to the South Koreans and then turn himself in to the new authorities for all the crimes he's committed against the North Korean people.

It's a noble gesture but maybe they should start out from one of the multi-generation slave labor concentration camps, or maybe from one of the bacteriological and chemical weapons factories, or maybe from the Punggye-ri nuclear bomb test site, or maybe from fatso smuggler top's Ryongsong palace, or maybe the Sohae ICBM launch facility? Yeah, it's a great idea, but just being able to leave the living nightmare that is the DPRK when 20 million prisoners can not is the real miracle.

30 isn't enough, Get at least 50,000+ and they'll really make a statement. Even 10,000 would be decent. As long as its enough numbers to outnumber lil' kim's soldiers 5-1. I'd love to see 10-1 just to make them poop their pants. It's ridiculous how long Kim's regime has been allowed to exist. I want to see reunification for Korea.

There will be no reunification so long as the US remains in South Korea.

And that is a decision that belongs primarily with the people of South Korea. Not Steinhem.

It is hard to imagine how naive some people can be.

Not across. Inside of DMZ. @HpnestDictator; They are not going to walk to ne killed. I wonder Gloriia can walk well there. She is still active.

JTDanMan:"There will be no reunification so long as the US remains in South Korea."

Gosh, that makes it sound like the evil U.S. is blocking the unification of Korea under the benevolent leadership of Kim Jong Un, lol.
