If half the stories of brutal executions in North Korea are true, then eventually the leader will be brought down. It is one of the many weaknesses of the "one person with all power" model. The leader is eventually surrounded by useless subordinates who are too scared to do anything and survive by giving the leader what he wants to hear rather than what he needs to hear, and the number who are out for revenge for treatment of a loved one just keeps increasing.

up to now it seems that 90 percent of the executions reported by the south are rumors and nothing else. Some of those executed, even blown up by a canon fire have happily walked around months later.

Maybe not! These "executed" people sometimes return to a lower position a few months later hidden away. If it was a public execution, post the pictures. After watching the terrible execution by ISIS on the internet, those interested can review it and the local media can censor it as needed.
