Hope the attendant can do some damage to that nut.

She is the nut, what a spoiled brat born with a silver spoon in her mouth.

I wonder does it help anyone to put her into prison? Wouldn't it be better to have her work as a flight attendant for a year or two?

Good for her for suing in New York. Doubt this case would have ever seen the light of day in Korea. This is really a workers' rights case, and workers world round have not been treated particularly well in recent years.

Well, it happened in US, only normal to sue there.

Nothing good will come of this, whether she wins or not.

Korean Air and Cho made a mistake for not settling this privately. The incident could have been over.

Now, they get all the additional publicity the case will bring, and it will all be bad for the company on top of any damage awards. Since the company is involved and there is a potential perverse corporate culture involved, punitive damages could be severe.

I am more interested in the attitudes about the case in Korea. Will we get the ahh, America is full of a bunch of ambulance chasing lawyers. Or, we will get, justice has been done only because the lawsuit was in America. Probably more of the former than the latter.

Ghost photo of a fairly good looking lady, unfair cameraman !

Yup, and she would without a doubt as she rightfully should!

She'll want to win big on this because there is no way this flight attendant will keep her job at Korean Air.

@Hongo

She's already gone. Look at the second-to-last paragraph....

galapagos: "Nothing good will come of this, whether she wins or not."

Why on earth do you say that? Should she have just rolled over and accepted the damage done to her integrity and career because they family and airline wanted to keep damage to Cho to a minimum?

I say all the power to Kim, and I am glad she wouldn't settle for whatever pittance the airline and the Cho's offered to keep her quiet. They made a BIG mistake in not settling with her, because now the media has more fuel against the family, against the airline, and also against the practice of such 'dynasties' in Korean big business.

Putting her in prison helps because it teaches her a vital lesson not to abuse subordinates and keeps her away from beating on someone else for at least a year.

I had no idea until now that the incident took place in the US. NY is one state that allows the disclosure of the amount of damages sought. Im sure it's going to be over 100 million USD.Or whatever plaintiff has deternined Korea Air have in the U.S.

this has actually gone too far, in fact the only thing that should have occurred here was a apology and money payment. instead you have had continued public humiliation, careers lost, prison sentences and now what will probably be a massive money payout.

Its just nuts not to let it go!

I can't wait for the book and movie to come out!

The land where one can sue the pants of, well anyone, for whatever reason. And often successfully too for outrageous settlements. Kim surely must have felt she had to be compensated somehow for her distress. What better venue than Weinstein Law Firm and Kobre & Kim. Screw the airline and get red hot revenge. Although it will be hot, this case is far more serious than the hot coffee spill.

"Cho, a vice president overseeing cabin service at the time of the Dec. 5 incident, was enraged that Kim served her macadamia nuts in a bag, not on a dish."

Good grief..

a civil lawsuit . Sorry people want a prison sentence. It is not in criminal court and so big compensation $$$$$$$.

Better than in Japan where court settlements for sexual harassment at the workplace may get JPY1-4M after losing your job for not going along with the sexual advance. At least in the U.S., there is some room for a rational decision from a court.

In US Court? I granted her to sue Korean Airline for $ 500 Millions for her pain and suffering from physical attack, humiliation by verbal abuse, damage reputation and so on. Korean Airline it’s better to start negotiates out of court settlement with her Lawyer.
