What gives here the right to make such a request? Her father takes a bullet in the head, so we have to keep the Kennedy legacy going? Anyone ask, whe she doesn't run for her uncle's senate seat in Massachusetts when he joins Maryjo. Andrew Cuomo is vastly more qualified.

just simply allowing her to take the seat is wrong. I don't care who her father is/was and I don't mean that in any disrespectful way.

New Yorkers should be allowed to vote for her or against her. We shouldn't bring people in based on their family - isn't that how Bush came through the door? Kennedy Clinton Bush Jackson (Jessie Jr.) Daily

She is well known throughout our land for her amazingly low IQ.

I haven't heard "the media" comment on what we've known for decades.

Her brother, John, was a regular onion, too. It got him dead.

I believe if Caroline Kennedy would like to break into politics, she should do so on her own and not have a Senate seat given to her based on her legacy. I would rather see it go to someone more qualified.

The value of name recognition in the competition for elective office has been made all too plain since the 2000 election (which brought us both GWB and Hillary).

But if qualifications are secondary to a famous name and the ability it confers to raise a wad of cash, well why not appoint Madonna (who recently moved back to NY after a stint on the other side of the pond)?
