Every time there is suicide involved, you have a good reason to believe that there is foul play involved. This leads me to believe that it was an inside job to distract attention from the media in which police was the perpetrator and out of a sudden it becomes the victim. The powers out there are dirty and do all kinds of things. And what best target than to choose two minorities who are disposable. And you do not expect big demonstrations out of it. Instead, the expected outcome is to get those protestors to calm down. It is all a controlled event. The one who supposedly killed JFK had nothing to do with his death. Then they used another person to prevent Lee Harvey Oswald from talking. Then the one who killed Oswald, mysteriously dies. It is all like a spiderweb, all entangled.

Sad to see cops being killed in the line of duty, especially like this. But the effusiveness of the mayor's eulogy does leave a bit of a bad taste. Bet the mayor could care less about most cops on the beat until something like this happens to draw public attention.

It's a bit discouraging to see the pictures of the police turning away. They seem to be in segregated units--older white officers quick to turn away and younger Asian and black officers saluting or at least facing ahead. I guess each generation has something new to teach the last.

The NYPD work slowdown over the past week is minor compared to what happened in Rome, a city with an understaffed 500 officer force. More than 80% called in sick on New Years Eve, obviously a time when the city expected all hands on deck.

Either that, or

The officers' killer, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, committed suicide shortly after the brazen daytime ambush on a Brooklyn street. Investigators say Brinsley was an emotionally disturbed loner who had made references online to the killings this summer of Garner and Brown, vowing to put "wings on pigs" in retaliation.

Hmm ... I wonder which one is true?

May God bless their families and may they rest in peace.

I don´t see that in the photos shown. At all. Maybe we all tend to see what we expect to find?

The NYPD has a reputation for racism and brutality. I do not see how turning their backs on the Mayor does anything but re-enforce that image.

@WilliB, Take a look at the Sam Hodgson photo being used by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, for example. Look at the big grin on the backwards cop in the top right corner clowning around at a g-damn funeral! Then notice the sumo sized officers in the lower left. Black officer facing forward, white sumo turning around with his pals just for sh¥ts and giggles. Also, see the photo of DeBlasio getting saluted by a black officer at the second funeral. Now there is an honorable gesture that deserves a promotion in rank.

I don´t know any "Sam Hodgson" or the "Mineapolis Start Tribune", whatever that is. I just looked at the photos in this article. I agree, of course, if you cherry-pick your photos you can see whatevery you want to see. That`s what I said, anyway.

Wow, so if the photo was not used by Japan Today, then it is inadmissable. The point is, the funerals were attended by police from across America, who displayed varying levels of seriousness and good or poor judgment knowing the whole country is watching. A contingent of Asian police went from Minneapolis, so it was big news there. I've not found any photos of Asian cops protesting though. Why could that be?

NY mayor eulogizes slain officer as police outside turn backs on him

Communist De Blasio is learning to eat his words nice and slowly. The NYPD has a long memory and his words will continue to haunt him the rest of his one term. Hey, afterwards he can join hands with Sharpton and continue his Communist efforts!

Gee, I wonder why De Blasio hats the NYPD?

Know who are the people you are voting for before you vote..........It's not hard, all you have to do is take the time.

Communist are ...................................................!

Marxist power couple, that's kinda catchy. But why do I have the feelng that anyone to the left of the Marx brothers is a commie in the eyes of Joe Bigs McCarthy.

Civilian control of the police is not a matter of debate.

De Blasio should have every badge from the fools who turned their back. Every one.

Anything less is a defeat.

Because unlike you, Joe Biggs is always right and anyone to the left is wrong........

JTDanManJan. 06, 2015 - 07:01AM JST Civilian control of the police is not a matter of debate.

Who are the civilians that are trying to control the police, the people who want to control crime or the criminals who want to control the crime?

Al Sharpton and his bunch have always been those who try and ensure that criminals get away with crime by ensuring that the laws hands are tied......

Al Sharpton owes over 4.5 Million dollars in taxes, but has been able to skirt away from paying his fair share because he uses the law.

Okay, let me say this one more time, Al Sharpton owes New York and the US of A over $4,500,000 and he is given a pass because??????

If any politicians cries foul against ole Al Sharpton he points his magic Obama finger of racism against that politician and bingo all is forgiven.

Al Sharpton murder and he knows it and the far left is a-o-k-a-y with it.....

But as everything that is a fad in the US, Al Sharpton and his Klan of bigot will pay for their bigotry soon enough.....

JTDanManJan. 06, 2015 - 07:01AM JST De Blasio should have every badge from the fools who turned their back. Every one.

So you think that he should have the ability to silence the opposition because you support his Communist agenda?

Yes, or No?

JTDanManJan. 06, 2015 - 07:01AM JST Anything less is a defeat.

Oh wait, so, if anyone disagrees with his or your beliefs it's a defeat for the nation and if the opposition is not destroyed it is even worse!?
