From what I saw, they have video but he's not recognizable. It's the other things that have him dead to rights. His admissions, email owner of person who bought the SUV, the evidence found at his residence.

So the video is just a small potatoes. < :-)

Are they sure they are not profiling this poor man?

They said the same about Maj Hassan, and the Xmas day bomber, until their ties to foreign extremists were belatedly discovered. More lies and spin.

If he has both passports, then you can call Him a Pakistani -American. If he has an American one only, then he should be called American.

One-way ticket in cash? You have to consider threats to his family back in Pakistan, and the possibility that he went through the motions of planting the bomb in order to protect them, but just amateurishly enough not to really go off and hurt anyone. Other scenarios also run through the mind.

Does he have cloth for brains, but gigantic gangoolies? Is this guy an idiot or really clever, or both in mixed quantities?

PS I hope Obama will be presenting him and his family with the bill for the round-up and subsequent trial, balanced against the value of his testimony.

Born in Pakistan, became U.S citizen later. Pakistani-American.

The suspect was caught by tracing calls he made on a "disposable" phone he thought was untraceable. I recall all kinds of adolescent rage when the last president proposed such measures, especially when dealing with a criminal who had verifiable ties to a foreign country.

They're coming up with several details on this failed attack; I wonder how much of it is true...

I was in New York recently and was standing in that exact spot in Times Square and would have been killed had I been there at that time if the bomb had not been so incompetently built. This guy is scum, abandoning his wife and kids for the glory of 60 virgins in the after life, what an inconsiderate murderous jerk.

Please follow this thought with some proof to your statement. I believe that the issue with bush was that he was giving the FBI the access to listen in to "all" phone conversations. It had nothing to do with disposable phones. But I could be wrong. Enlighten me. Show me a link to your statement. < :-)

There are all kinds of links that discuss the surveillance used to catch the Taliban trained Pakistani jihadist/car bomber who we now know did NOT work alone and was even in contact with the same nutjob imam in Yemen who acted as Maj Hassan's 'spiritual advisor.' Interested people should start with google search :

"times square bomber planes intercept call Emirates Airlines"

So actually Egalityranny, your big disposable phone theory is just that, an empty theory. Thanks. < :-)

WCBStv.com article, "Army Intelligence Planes Led to Suspect's Arrest," by Marcia Kramer:

" In the end, it was secret Army intelligence planes that did him in. Armed with his cell phone number, they circled the skies over the New York area, intercepting a call to Emirates Airlines reservations, before scrambling to catch him at John F. Kennedy International Airport. "

Egalityranny This had nothing to do with george bush allowing intelligence agencies to listen in to any phone calls they wanted to. In this case, they had a particular phone number that they were listening to. This is totally different then bush's argument that the FBI can listen in to any phone calls they want to.

If Army intelligence did in fact trace him by his cell phone, cool. But don't try to link this to george bush. < :-)

How I wish I could reach through my computer screen to another's and pat on the head those who like to engage in knee-jerk defense and or denial of Obama suspending posse comitatus; especially when such reactions come from Democrats who I would guess were screaming to all who'd listen that Bush shredded the Constitution and was on the verge of setting up a police state.

The Times Sq bomber was removed by the Obama administration from a terror watch list he'd been on for years - after being stopped for bringing 80 000 dollars into the US, in violation of immigration law.

The liberal elites running the country are not up to the job.
