Abbas is not the president. Hamas should be there.

Israel will do everything it can to avoid any meaningful negotiations. By not stopping the growth of settlements, they know that nothing will ever get accomplished with regards peace with Palestine. < :-)

who really believes that even the creation of a palestine state will result in peace?
hamas' stated goals include primarily the creation of a palestinian state in place of israel. as long as the palestinians allow hamas to dictate their future, they are choosing a future of violence.
Obaby would have better luck negotiating an expansion on guantanamo bay with the big C.

Obama could very easily fix everything, if he truly wanted, by simply deciding to stop ALL aid to Israel unless they retreat to their pre-1967 "boarder" and start behaving properly.

I'd love to see him try.

He won't. He knows very well that if he does anything against Israel's wishes, he'll end up like JFK. But that is what he SHOULD do.

We should stop all aid to the Palestinians to "fix" them, too. Add Egypt in there as well. Just stop sending anyone money who doesn't do what we tell them to do. Great idea Sabi....I'm starting to like it.

The Palestinians would not need any help at all if they had THEIR land back. That is the best way to fix this problem.

I hope you aren't contemplating anything like that as your own agenda.
Again, if the land meant so much, why spring board an attack from there? Did they really have that much confidence in their Arab allies that they would beat Israel in 67'?

"THEIR land back"
Uhm....haven't Jews historicaly dwelled there too?

When Japan gets its? Kuril Islands -Palestinians will finally get their? lands back. In all honesty the Palestinians would be better off trying to buy Guantanamo Bay, Cuba -when America leaves.
Yes, the Palestinians thought Egypt and the others would crush Israel. -and without USA's support they would have =Arabs upset at USA. The Palestinians actually left their homes and land behind =they made a bad choice.
1: Stay out of wars.
2: Always bet on both sides

The Israelis removed all settlements from Gaza, and they were rewarded with thousands of rocket attacks.
Mostly misguided and naive leftists.
I actually agree with this. The aid Israel receives from the US only represents about 3% of their GDP. And by refusing it, they could set their own foreign policy without having to seek US approval. All US foreign aid needs to be stopped, especially to Muslim countries, such as Egypt and Jordan, which receive more aid than Israel..
Sabi never met a Zionist conspiracy he didn't like. :-D

sabiwabi:
Would you agree then that he should simultaneously stop all aid to the neighbouring muslim countries, including the 900 million he has just promised to the Hamas rocketeers in Gaza?

But they do need help. And the US can "fix" them. Just stop giving them aid and demand that they do what we tell them to do.
I'm with ya 100%, buddy.

Nonsense. Every Muslim Arab country is basket case, and they have tons of land. Land doesn't make any difference. Anyway, why would you want to give them more land to turn unproductive?
