The courts are going to be flooded, who is going to pay for that?
I like the see the real criteria on who gets the help and who doesn't.
Since we are going to help these home owners, who many I feel shouldn't have jumped on buying a house until they were ready, why only them? I know several people who have had problems paying for their student loans, one of which I lent the money to pay for it and the collection agency came back and added more charges to his bill. Is the government going to help the thousands of students who recently graduated who can't get jobs now pay their student loans or are they going to continue charging them the interest?
What about those who are losing their small businesses?

Here's betting Republicans will jump on the bandwagon and bash this initiative as well.
I'm really getting the feeling Republicans would much rather give billions to foreigners like the previous administration did, rather than help Americans.
Skip, I know you are not a Republican.

You know, it's going to be just a horrible thing if people really get help.
That means they might be able to stay in their house.
That means the house values around him don't drop.
That means another home that doesn't go into foreclosure.
But according to skipthesong, this is a bad thing.
This program isn't for people who have been foreclosed on.
Heaven forbid we save homes. And after all this bitching and moaning, I know just know that any reputable republican wouldn't lower him/herself to apply for an Obama loan. < :-)

I know a lot of people who have had the homes closed in the past due to a lot of factors not related to them. I know a guy who got hurt while in the Army and lost his wife, taking care of three kids by himself, the bank decided to close his doors and he wrote to some... did Diane Fienstein care - no!
I know of people back in Miami whose house went up in flames, my list goes on and on and no one but me lent a hand to many of them.
Oh, there will be republicans who apply for a loan and that is not the issue. The issue is paying off 9million people whose homes are close to foreclosure. Take a look at a foreclosure list in your neck of the woods and you tell me if those people should have bought such big houses. You make this sound like these are poor people who barely bought a shack when in fact they bought some nice cribs with lux gardens and what not....
Again, I'd prefer to help young people pay off their college loans WHICH the government got them into in the first place. Have you noticed most schools tuition has gone up and I am not talking about private ones either. Take a look at some of those masters programs... then take a look at the price for undergrads.... you tell me if that's fair.
At least helping these grads with their loans we are investing in ourselves, unlike Mr. and Mrs. Twinkie in the morning eating fat ffffff who are too proud to shovel dirt to make a buck and can't budget their money.

Heaven forbid we save homes." for the irresponsible... sorry to say it like that, but take a look at a great many of those who bought homes. Too young, too eager...
No. How about putting money into business owners hands so they can hire people and have businesses around them sprout up? Noo you don't want anyone to work do you>

Losing homes because of lost jobs sent overseas.
Losings homes because the landowner was foreclosed on and the renter was kicked out.
Losing homes because they can't afford them anymore because of ARMs.
There are other, but I don't know the circumstances to theirs.
I sold my house 3 years ago and in less than a year later it was foreclosed on.
My question to you, do you not want anybody helped or are you just so against any help that you can not see any good in it.
Are you so upset with people getting help, that you would condemn the program.
Sure there are a lot of people who need help. They can't all get helped. Some will never be helped and there are some that I don't think need to be helped. But it's not my program.
It's the schools themselves who are cranking up their tuition costs, etc. It's not the government. Most of these universities are doing the same thing as the health care system, cracking their costs up as high and as fast as they can. Granted it's not the kids fault, but don't blame this on the government.
You won't be satisfied with any program that comes out of the Barack Obama administration. That's fine. < :-)

I'm a retiree. (37 years, same employer) I expect everybody to work. I don't like seeing anybody out of work.
I know that there are a lot of people who have lost their homes already and their homes. That's no reason to want to see more lose theirs, too. < :-)

Well, I'm going to bed. Posters here would rather see fellow Americans fail and lose their homes, then see a program succeed.
Posters who would rather see an administrations fail, them see their fellow Americans get some help to get back up.
Rush Limbaugh, their GOP spokesman has made their intentions well known. They want Obama to fail, period. < :-)

Losing homes because of lost jobs sent overseas." True enough, but can you blame many companies for want to do that? Americans demand x time the amount for half the work many people would do for less and let's not forget those unions too.
Losings homes because the landowner was foreclosed on and the renter was kicked out." I don't know where you are from, but there are laws against that. I couldn't even kick out a tenent who not only failed to pay the rent for several months, but her kids burned part of a room.
Losing homes because they can't afford them anymore because of ARMs." Look, I don't know who comes up with the bright idea of putting their life saving into a home and then take out a loan. And, I bet those you talk about make sure they got their DVD players, MP3, etc....
My question to you, do you not want anybody helped or are you just so against any help that you can not see any good in it." It depends on who and what they are trying to save. if you are talking about those who bought way out of their range - no!
Are you so upset with people getting help, that you would condemn the program." A program which I am forced to, yes. How about letting us decide how we can help and who we can. I don't like the idea that many of these loans were given to illegals who used fake names and that my friend is in the thousands. Thanks BOA.
Sure there are a lot of people who need help. They can't all get helped. Some will never be helped and there are some that I don't think need to be helped. But it's not my program." Then don't shout that the program is going to help America when its only helping a few and its mostly for political reasons. And after seeing several cities getting stupid parks, I have lost all respect.
It's the schools themselves who are cranking up their tuition costs, etc. It's not the government." YES IT IS!!!!!
Most of these universities are doing the same thing as the health care system, cracking their costs up as high and as fast as they can. Granted it's not the kids fault, but don't blame this on the government." The government takes something like a 25% interest and has allowed some draconian methods to collect. I know this because I hve co-signed three of them and all three at the moment can't pay them. I said I'd pay what was loaned but not the interest at that rate and not to a collection company. Well, take a look at who allowed such a law... you will drop your jaw.
You won't be satisfied with any program that comes out of the Barack Obama administration. That's fine. < :-)" No, its you who will band over backwards to kiss his butt. Take a deep look at what is being put out and instead of just judging a book by its cover.

The government knows best who to give your money to. So why don´t you trust the government to distribute your money (and that of your children) to the people that the government deems should have it? Hail the Potus and his friends!

Enforced refinancing is exactly what needs to be done now.
We had banks jipping people as much as they let themselves get jipped, but having these people on the streets or locked into a cycle of renting is not going to help us. They need time to pay their debts, and the people who made the loans can afford to wait. Or, if they can't, there are fewer of them than there are people in foreclosure, so maybe they should ask one of their borrowers for a room.
In addition, we need to consider the long term and put limits on the amounts banks and lenders can jip JQP. It would also be nice if building codes were made more flexible to bring the cost of housing down. Housing today is WAY over-engineered and the prices reflect that.

The landlords lost their homes because they were foreclosed on and the renters were kicked out.
Lots of people put their life savings into their homes. It's their castle, their shelter. And your MP3 and DVD rant. Those things are sold for $50.00, good grief. Except for me everybody on earth has a DVD or MP3s.
You skipthesong aren't forced to use the program. It's there to help people. You don't want people helped. You've been very upfront on that. You'd rather see people fail and lose their homes.
Ranting. Makes no sense.
I'm not bending over for anybody, but I do like people being helped. You've shown your hate for Barack Obama and the hope that his programs will fail.
You sound just like Rush Limbaugh. Exactly like Rush Limbaugh. I know how the head of the GOP thinks. You are a worthy follower of Rush. < :-)

There are posters here who would like to see homeowners and Obama fail. Their postings are very clear. They have made their beliefs very clear. They would rather see the country fail, then see Obama's programs work.
It's rather disturbing to see posters who were so patriotic that they ate up george bush's Iraq war cries and painted those who didn't buy into his lies lock, stock and barrel as non-patriots. But when we have the chance to help the country and it's citizens, they want the country to fail. They would champion failure for the Obama policies, rather than champion for the success of the country and home owners because of their narrow view.
We will succeed no matter what these advocates of failure want. < :-)
