We saw how republicans want the poor to just die off. We knew the republicans were like this, but this proves it. < :-)

Nope, this article is just spin. Obama still, rightfully, believes the much needed and supported health care reform can pass. The proof -

“Here’s the key, is to not let the moment slip away,” Obama also said.

Americans elected Obama in large part because of his agreement with Americans' desire to have health care reform. The task now is to stop the un-American repubs from hampering this great work any further.

Remember folks: You can do the republican thing, or you can do the right thing.

Libs will just keep trying to push these new debt bills thru -by any means necessary.

Trash it completely. Do a two step process, step one get the costs under control in the existing system first. Have every person in Congress and the Whitehouse read the link first. Then start on a real bill and a real fix. Once you get to the real cost of health-care under control and not the bloated mess we have now, then you can make real decisions as to how best cover the uninsured as the second step. That is how you do it and get bi-partisan support all around.

Well, tis sad that although Obama wanted to bring healthcare to the 60 or 70 million who are denied it, the haters and the pickup-driving Scott Brown fans have ensured we will continue to see those daily images of Americans dying on the street before our very eyes.

"Well, tis sad that although Obama wanted to bring healthcare to the 60 or 70 million who are denied it..."

My oh my, what do we have here ? First Gombei your numbers are a bit off. The vast majority of media outlets in the US estimate that there are about 40 million Americans without healthcare. An estimated 18 million, almost half, are illegal aliens, and another 10 million who simply don't want it ! That leaves about 10 million- in a country with a population of almost 310 million. Hmph, seems you can't please everyone. Actually I would think you canadians would be mum on criticising US health care- especially in light of The Newfoundland and Labrador premier Danny Williams decision to have "undisclosed cardiac surgery" at an unnamed U.S. clinic ! The fallout has been staggering igniting "a simmering debate about the state of Canadian health care." In short, MYOB !

And still, in the 21st century, no proper health insurance for the people of this great nation.

presto345- Actually you are wrong- and here is where the political "misinformation" machine has succeeded. The fact that so many out there don't realize that more than 95% of Americans "do" have healthcare ! Do the math- 310 million estimated population, 10 million who "want" health care can't afford it ! So why is the US gov spending all this time on such a few number ? Easy- health care run by the government is big business, lots of cash for their coffers. Just look at the mess both Japan and Canada are in with their socialized medicine programs. Canada is so bad that numerous politicians have actually sought health care in the US- how embarrassing ! And Japan ? I was paying more than 20,000 yen a month ($200 dollars) for National health insurance- that I never used ! I was actually being financially punished for being healthy ! Now, if they instigated a program where I get back 75% of what I paid if I stay healthy for the year, well we might have some support. Just think $2,400 a year X's 15 ! yep, we got a deal !

What is so ironic is now President Obama is starting to talk about bipartisanship, open debate with C-SPAN television in the room involving all sides to bring their ideas to the table to come up with a consensus solution to the health care problems facing the nation. This is what he told everyone during the campaign he would do but didn't when it was time to make good on his promises. He just tried to ram through a total overhaul of American health care based on socialist principles. Now that he has failed he wants a second bite at the apple. Well, I think he should get a second chance. However, this time it should be focused on the 10 million Americans who can't afford health care and in re-connecting it's cost with the people that use it. America has a massive yearly budget defgicit and a huge debt. A socialist solution to any problem is usually not very rational given the many experiments with this ideology over the last century - but now it would be disasterous. Thank goodness ObamaCare is dead. Let's just hope that the Dems don't try to resurrect this Frankenstein of a policy.

    Obama talked bipartisanship all along.

    The republicans have preached "NO".

Those who need health care reform can thank the republicans for "NOT" receiving it.

The republicans are so proud. < :-)

    Sarge -

This'll be the day ObamaCare died.

Along with red-blooded, hard-working, fellow Americans who through no fault of their own can't afford health care. Nice attitude, "Sarge".

    "The republicans have preached "NO".

And the American public agreed ! Explains why Scott, a republican, is now the new senator from Massa.

    and,

    "Those who need health care..."

Need to learn how to utilize the billions of dollars in services already available in the USA.

Explains why Scott, a republican, is now the new senator from Massa.

The citizens of Mass have health insurance for all and didn't want to help pay for the country.

Coakley was an idiot who pissed off the voters. < :-)

"Coakley was an idiot who pissed off the voters."

Have you seen Obama's approval numbers recently ?

  • 0

    adaydream

    Yes I've seen his numbers.

I also saw how Coakley upset even voters. How Coakley was too stupid to stand in the cold shaking hands to get votes. The voters said if you can't take the cold in Mass to get my vote, then you shouldn't be in the heat of Washington. < :-)

dude: "...Americans who through no fault of their own can't afford health care"

Everyone in America, American or not ( and there's a lot of nots ) has access to world class health care. Now some folks don't have insurance( some of them don't want it ) and they have the problem of paying for it, but that can be worked out over time.

    "Nice attitude "Sarge"

This, from the guy who said "I have government health care. Good luck to everyone else."

    adaydream

There are many that don't have health care insurance and they have to mortgage their home to pay for the care Sarge. Even with some sort of waiver of amount the bill, it's more then they can ever pay.

Right, they can get first class care for a price they can't afford. < :-)

adaydream - Total agreement with your inarguably correct statement. I'd say more, but the mod would just delete it again while allowing the right-wingers' idiotic statements to stand. But then again, JT's about the only place the poor repubs can get any attention.

Those poor repubs, they are as totally irrelevant and marginalised as what's-her-name-from-Alaska, aren't they.
