    "historic Africa trip"

President Obama can make this trip truly historic if he visits his destitute half-brother in Kenya.

Unbelievable, a visit to relatives is what you consider "truly historic?" Wow that explains a lot. I will admit this article is not indicative of the eventful characteristics of most of Obama journeys where he has made major accomplishments. But I hardly see how visiting a half-brother would change that; I guess it would give the Republicans something to criticize him for. But if you want to define "truly historic" in your mind with such mundane qualities who am I to piss on your cornflakes.

I hope he promised them the continuing support of Bono and Bob Geldoph.

It is odd that President Obama appears to avoid his African relatives. It is as if he is embarassed by them. Why not visit his Aunt or his half-brother? Surely they are proud of him and they could definately use his ample ability to provide financial support.

    wolfpack,

its nice to see that the wingers are showing such great concern for the Obama family. Although its confusing as the republicans called Michelle a gorilla a few weeks ago.

I wish you losers would make up your minds with Obama. With Clinton you all were all packing wood for him through the phony impeachment. Seems like the love/hate thing is going on for Obama too. Perhaps a trip to Argentina would clear your minds.

GReat post Sarge. Glad you also see through this guy. America is in a hole because of your policies Obama. Look after your own people before spending my tax dollars travelling around the world in luxury.

I'm awfully glad that Obama is working. He's traveling to represent the US.

If he had gone to Kenya the GOP posters would be crying that he used tax dollars to visit his family. If he'd have gone to Kenya the cries of personal use of government funds would be all over FOXNews. < :-)

sarge et al.: Maybe you guys haven't learned enough about the hypocrisy of Republicans preaching 'family values above all' with lessons like Ensign. You know darn well that if Obama visited his family in Africa you guys would be ALL OVER it in terms of criticism. In fact, I'm still waiting to see if he DOES visit some time, and then wait for you guys to go 180 and talk about how awful it is.

Obama is doing wonderful things for the US, and helping with international relations on a scale the US hasn't seen in eight years.

"The White House said Obama held no big public events in a city frenzied to see him because Obama wanted to put the light on Africa, not himself. But reality proved otherwise."

Beats someone flying in in an F-14 as a publicity stunt to promote himself and try to bolster his accomplishments.

    Good on Obama, once again.

Bingo! You have a way with words. It's just too funny watching the wingers try to tear down Barack, who is the greatest president since Carter (actually, he is at least ten times greater, even if his term ended tomorrow)and who is continuing to amaze me by the day.The US economy is picking up and the president's retorhic really inspires many people, including my private students.Even though they can't completely understand what he says, they are moved and persuaded. That is what I call having game!
