Drug violence has killed more than 11,000 people since Mexico launched its crackdown. Mexican cities are living essentially under siege, and the killings are spilling over the border into the United States and as far as Canada.

The silence from gun control advocates is deafening.

    Or is it just indifference?

    Just difference, of country.

Well the drug users of Canada and America should be held to account for their part in this tragic situation in Mexico. But unfortunately, like LastBestHope, they are too indifferent about the suffering of others to change.

Mmmm tough question. Obviously jail has not been a deterrent if 11,000 people have been killed. How about stop doing drugs which would then affect demand thus the profit motive which often leads to murder? But like I said, the Canadian and American users are too indifferent to care about their part in that bloodshed.

That may be because, I don't know, they are drug addicts? All they care about is their next fix.

Because there are drug addicts in a nation does not make it the entire nations fault.
