"Obama was speaking to 60 contributors at the luxurious Houston home of trial lawyer John Eddie Williams."

The pay gap between trial lawyers and the average worker is too big, they should pass a law to close that gap.

Watch the interview of Kirsten Kukowski on the issue to see how classic the Republican stance on this is. Obama is bang on.

Or maybe it's the old Mark Twain adage instead: "the country is in no greater peril than when congress is in session."

Is their really gender pay discrimination? Is it the more aggressive who make a higher wage? Do the timid make a lesser wage? So many factors here to make the statement Women make less.

Raising minimum wage will squeeze the middle class even more. The money does not grow on trees. Costs of goods and services related to minimum wage will rise if minimum wage rises.

Immigration is simply promoting democratic votes. Why would a nation invite "Developing Nation" nationals to immigrate here when a "Industrialized Nation" national needs to go through a nearly impossible series of applications, justifications, financial means, and lengthy process to obtain a Green Card.

Look into your own administration Mr. Obama for the "productive" results within during your stay.

Republican Obstruction, give me a friggin' break! This president is THE most divisive president that we have ever had in history, I'm not the biggest fan of congress in general, but on every angle the Dems try to avoid, deflect or stonewall every issue that comes under serious scrutiny. As for the mid-terms, the Dems are in for a serious wake up reality, they are looking it at least to lose about minimum of 8 seats or more in the Senate. And the whole nonsense of this bogus war against women is all political posturing done by Dems for setting up Hilary. The White House wanted to make that claim that there is inequality in the job force when it comes to pay between men and women, but Carney got shot down when he himself couldn't explain that even there is gender gap when it comes to women making less in the White House compared to the men, which is acceptable, but in the private sector it's not. Once again, this White House as well as this president has lost all credibility. I used to get surprised by these things, but now, I accept them as the daily norm.

So, bass, ready to give your list of Republican accomplishments yet? Or will you take another pass?

SuperLib

How about ticking off the failures of this Admin. and compare that with the so called accomplishments and I will guarantee you that the list of failures of this admin will reach to the moon.

As for congress, both sides are horrible. Reid and Boehner should go and quickly!

How about a list of Democratic accomplishments that benefit USA?

OK, so the list of Obama failures will reach the moon. Now how about those Republican accomplishments? You keep teasing me. Before you said you couldn't list them because they would be off-topic. I'm sure you'd agree that wouldn't be a problem here. Yet here you are again, keeping that list under lock and key.

Several people have listed their opinions several times. Some have disagreed that they are in fact accomplishments, but so be it. They are free to disagree. The difference is that I can't even get a Repub - sorry, independent conservatives to even produce a list. It's either a closely guarded secret.....or it doesn't exist.

I'm not teasing you, but I'm not going to go into a partisan fight with you when the big issue is the president and congress (which includes both parties) last time I checked. But truth be told, the Democrats are in the exact same position the Republicans were around the last 2 years of the Bush admin. they are toxic, they will lose big, the people are tired, the lies, the deception, the lack of trying to reach out to the Republicans. They didn't do that, they STILL continue to NOT wanting to do that. It's NOT about gloating wanting Obama to fail, it is that the Dems think that a one party rule is good enough for everything and the opposition just needs to shut up. Well, the people are tired of it and the polls show it. Look what happened in Florida. You had a weak Republican beat out a very strong and established Democrat, very well funded and was ahead in the polls and what happened, she lost because she said, she would fix Obamacare and the other guy said, he would try and repeal it and this is the tip of the ice berg. The problem is, Dems think that for some reason, they can't get ousted and the recent Florida election proved otherwise. It's called: Reality.

The difference is that I can't even get a Repub - sorry, independent conservatives to even produce a list. It's either a closely guarded secret.....or it doesn't exist.

Again, the partisan that you are, you tell me as a proud liberal, where and what exactly are THE greatest accomplishments of the Democratic party? What and how is America a better place?

Making a list, for both, is easy. Just go to Wiki and print all the names of this administration, the senate and house. Done!

I understand, bass. You don't have to list Republican accomplishments if you don't want to. Or if the concept overall does not compute.

Personally, I don't think there are any. But that's just me.

NOT want to, it's just not relevant to the issue. But on the flip side, you can list and the failures of this admin. and Democrats in general. But how much time do you have? Too much to count, but also, the issue is about congress and the President and both get an F-.

“This has become the least productive Congress in modern history, recent memory. And that’s by objective measures - just basic activity,” Obama said.

By objective measures, he's right. No amount of Obama Derangement Syndrome rants will change that. Like the guy said - keep shakin' those lil fists.

Obama throws his toys out of the pram shouting, "Mommy! They won't do as I say! Waaaa!" like an insolent spoiled child.

Wake-up call, Barry. Balance of powers is what it's called, and your phone and pen are not magic wands.

Meh. What can one expect from a body that includes con men and ''politicians'' like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, over-the-hill nutters like John McCain, and McCarthyist ego-maniac Darrell Issa? We get what we vote for.
