Obama boosts Islamic State fight

Lol I read that line differently.

Sounds like mission creep. Doesn't anyone in this administration read history, specifically about a place called Vietnam?

I don't think Obama is clear about anything in Syria. Anybody remember the "red line of using poison gas?" Don't get your knickers in a twist Obama, Putin might die laughing.

“These terrorists are doing everything in their power to strike our cities and kill our citizens, so we need to do everything in our power to stop them,” Obama said.

But he rescinded the waterboarding policy. Sending only 250 isn't doing everything in our power. Right, I think Putin is laughing too. Obama is soft.

The migrant crisis was a central focus as Obama met with European leaders just before returning to Washington. Merkel >>said the leaders had discussed ways to expand military efforts to stop human smuggling across the Mediterranean from >>Libya.

"Human smuggling", I compare the situation in Syria and ISIS extremist with the SS/Nazii during WW2, however back that time, there were a lot of countries willing to accept people fleeing from occupied countries and provided assistance, nowadays, we use our army effort to push them back into the hand of the oppressor. Welcome to the 21 century where my compassion and humanism stop right at my frontier.

No boots on the ground, eh?

"Obama boosts Islamic State fight; asks Europe to do the same"

Don't need any help from the world's largest army, the Chinese People's Liberation Army?

Does that mean he is upping the budget to send to the Al Qaeda backed rebels (sic) ?

"there were a lot of countries willing to accept people fleeing from occupied countries and provided assistance"

Different era, different people. Different geography. Different religion. Apples and oranges.

The problem now is that quite a few of the current migration wave bring with them a belief system that too often triggers a hostile anti-Western stance that will manifest itself in terrorism. You certainly can't say the same about the Jews and others of the 1930s to 50s.

"Integration" -- which is what you hope for when "assimilation" fails -- was never an issue back then. It is now. Time to put that false equivalency to rest.

Exactly!! This guy has done 180 .. . . . & sum say Trump is a buffoon . . . . (sheesh!) Thought ISIS were "contained." That comment (by Obama) was PURE NONSENSE.

Seems like the insane US Republicans support the enemy Putin over their own president. Mostly, if we're honest, because of the color of President Obama's skin.

They call that being a traitor where I come from.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

They are not traitors until they work with an enemy, like Nixon did in '68, and Reagan in 1980.
