They tried the "Vietnam veteran" approach with both gore and kerry, and it blew up in their face, as it would again. So now their playing the race/female cards with barack and hillary.
However, the two democrats running offer Americans nothing but the same old canard of socialism for ever.
Can you imagine a really good fight between the two of them? Nah. This has been so tame that I'm about to go to sleep.
But as soon as the democratic convention is over and the republicans really start to attack, then it'll get lively. It just eats them alive that this has been so civil.
I just cant believe a black man in America is now been called an elitist. Its laughable coming from the Clintons who have made 100 million dollars last year, compared to Obama's struggles with his personal mortgage and his children's tuition. Moreover, provisional Americans in the face of mounting economic uncertainty do cling to guns and religion, and in the process develop fixed attitudes about race and immigration. This is just a fact which cannot be ignored. Obama just says it like it is, real and honest. For all you Republicans let it be known that hell has now frozen over and the ascendancy of Obama is near.
I've seen it all before, and its gonna happen again. Two Dem. contenders that will fight each other all the way to the polls, splitting the Dem. party vote.
McCain doesn't have to work at getting the vote, he merely has to sit back and allow Hillary and Barrack to keep bickering. Each will get half of the Dem. Vote in November (because whoever loses in the June primary will NOT give up the fight) and McCain will get most of the Republican vote so he'll win without lifting a finger.
Three weeks ago, barack was hoping something would take the public's mind off the anti-American views his "minister" preached and the racist policies of his church.
These two really need to stop this foolishness and start concentrating on preventing the madman mccain from taking office. The current administration has done enough damage to America and its reputation around the world (many of the world's Arabs do not have a favorable opinion of America according to recent polls). I don't care whether it's Obama or Hillary, no more endless wars for oil, no more forgetting Americans at the cost of imperialism.
"These two really need to stop this foolishness and start concentrating on..."
Sorry rjdjr, what you see is what yer gonna get... "foolishness" !
And "war for oil" ? Is a necessary evil if you ask me. Just imagine how the world would react to disruptions in say 1/3rd of the worlds oil supplies. No doubt... world warIII ! All that unemployment ! All the angst over the world economy ! Now I imagine if push came to shove, the Americans would just increase their alternative fuel strategies, grow more corn for fuel, and say the hell with all them countries living off American grain. Lest we forget, America is 140% food efficient. And 60% of what American farmers grow goes overseas ! So there ya go... your new war, but this time for food ! See how delicate the cycle is ? It's one of the reasons Saddam had to go !
Blood for oil ? You damn right ! The history of our planet indicates wars are fought over two things... economics and religion ! Now rjdjr, are you personally ready to give up all your plastics and consumer goods to save some blood ? Me ? Sure as hell could, as Hank JR once sang... 'cause a country boy can survive" ! Now I gotta run... the trout are bittin' on the lower "D" ! You, in the meantime, enjoy your store bought vittles and continue to bang away on yer plastic little computer box, does the word hypocrite riong a bell ?
The campaign in barack's case is now all about race, something he wanted to avoid at all costs; but now it's the 500-pound gorilla sitting in the corner of the room. In other words, very-very hard to ignore.
If (cough) barack does get the nomination, he will have a very hard time beating Mr. McCain because he needs the white working class and white women vote to win. He just pissed all over them while pandering to the super rich in San Fracisco. All Mr. McCain now has to do is aim his campaign at this demographic and he'll be the next U.S. president.
People are saying the democrats could have had better candidates, and they surely could have, but now it's time to look at who they have and which of those two can actually win it all.
barack's bid for the presidency was as dead as Julius Caesar the day the first "Rev." Wright video hit the internet. But it's fun to watch the process continue.
I guess no different then when I saw george bush get the presidency. I paniced because I could see tax breaks for those who didn't need them. Then he did the unbelieveable. Attacked a virtually defenseless country out of greed and revenge.
But McCain has promised to keep up george bush's destructive policies.

The dems are desperate to beat the Republicans.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Denver is going to be a replay of 1968 Chicago.
Gas masks, anyone?

I read a story where Vince McMahon has challenged barack and hillary settle their differences in a one-on-one smackdown.
You have to admit that having the two of them get into the wrestling ring would make their circus sideshow complete.

Heh, well, now something has.

I plan on watching it. It's a 3 hour broadcast.
A replay of the 1968 democratic convention would make you just smile with glee. Won't happen.
