So, to recap, Sen. McCain advocates the spending of $12-20 billion a month on Iraq and Iraqis, wheras Sen. Obama advocates spending that much and more on America and Americans.
Hmmmm.....and some individuals think Sen. McCain is best suited to lead America..... (LOL!)
"[Obama] promised money for police, higher-paid teachers, transit, housing and broadband Internet. He said he would create jobs by rebuilding roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects."
Sarge, RomeoRamen, et al, think Iraqis should get the above before Americans.
Sen. McCain was the one who opposed the bill that was passed how, what was it? Oh yeah, "overwhelmingly" with a veto-proof majority. Do you think that was partisan?
But hey, Sen. McCain got an "overwhelming" himself. The bill he co-sponsored failed "overwhelmingly." Again, requiring bi-partisan disapproval.
If delusion was an Olympic sport, you'd have the gold sewed up!
Seriously, did you even read the story? Oh wait, "lord Soros" blah blah blah.
“Barack Obama opposed and voted against the bipartisan effort by John McCain, Russ Feingold and Claire McCaskill to assure that lifesaving levees like those that so tragically failed in Iowa and Missouri are given the highest priority and fixed first. It is beyond the pale that Barack Obama would attack John McCain for actually trying to fix the problem and change the way Washington works.”
If stupidity were an Olympic sport, 13, they'd retire the gold, silver and bronze to you.
The fact remains Mr. McCain joined democrats in making the levees a top prority while your boy, obama, rejected the bi-partisian effort.
barack has been let down again by Lord Soros and his $500 million special interest and union-backed political machine. Such a waste of all that money.
I honestly can't tell where either person stands since we only hear McCain's positions through Obama's criticism of them and Obama's positions through McCain's criticisms of them.
If I was Obama I wouldn't use this agaisn't McCain. Diane Feinstien was the one that co-sponsored the bill with McCain to bring some sanity to this bill. Obama and the rest of congress towed the party line and voted for what Time magazine called......
WRDA is a lousy bill, stuffed with more pork than Sonny's Barbecue, coddling a dysfunctional agency, perpetuating a dysfunctional system. Louisiana and the Everglades need help, but they won't get it until Congress fixes the Corps. This bill just sets the stage for future Katrinas.

If Sen McCain wants to spend money, it must be in the country's interest.
But if it's destined for another state, it's pork. < :-)

Mr. McCain joined democrats in making the levees top priority. obama, the self-proclaimed unifier, rejected the bi-partisian effort.
