I don't expect the gulf nations would want to require that of America.

Why hang out with the guy that is throwing them to the wolves (ie. Iran) when they can go to a horse show with the Queen of England.

Realpolitik at its worst. so many of these countries promiote extremism or covertly fund extremist or even insurgent movements. why we thought it right to depose Saddam and assad and Gaddafi but we support these folks is a demonmstration of sheer hypocrisy.

With allies like these why do we need enemies? Anything to keep the oil flowing, I assume.
