    More golf, more ice cream, more parties.

    Presidents are never really on vacation so it doesn't do much good to complain a lot about how often they take vacations. However, the timing of the vacation and the place do matter politically. He does himself no favors by vacationing in the ultra elite Martha's Vinyard - a place swarming with those same millionaires and billionaires that he is for ever criticizing for not paying their "fair share" (as if it is not fair that these folks already pay a large chunk of total tax receipts). Then their is the matter of his vacation coming right on the heals of his grand announcements that he "will not rest" until the jobs situation is turned around. Well, guess what? The job situation is looking as shaky as ever and he will be getting his share of rest up there with his rich buddies.

    Hey, guess where Mitt Romney gave that statement from?

    Wait for it...

    Martha's Vineyard. Yeah, he's on the other side of the island right now.

    My bad, he didn't give the statement from there. He's just going to be on Martha's Vineyard at the same time.

    Facts:

    Regan took 127 days/year for vacation.

    Bush took 189 days/year for vacation

    Obama is taking less than 60 days for vacation.

    Clinton took only 29 days for vacation.

    @ Globalwatcher,

    There are Republicans in the audience here. You'll have to start by explaining what "facts" are.

    Ha! Nice!

    To quote one frustrated right-winger after his arguments against gay marriage had been utterly refuted:

    "Well... you can prove anything with facts!"

    "Martha's Vineyard"

    I stayed there once, but it was in a cheap place, and it didn't cost the taxpayers a dime.

    Fact : Obama played more golf in 2 years than Bush did in 8.

    This Conservative started with basic math after he got the "facts" that were posted here.

    Regan took 127 days/year for vacation.

    Bush took 189 days/year for vacation

    Reagan was a two term President 8 years total.......127 x 8 = 1016 days total vacation days or darn near three full years off during his term.

    Bush was a two term term President .......................189 x 8= 1512 days total vacation days or actually over 4 years off during his term (makes him a one termer after all? But I digress).

    Interesting "facts" posted and actually believed by some here.

    @Sailwind,

    So the guy's numbers were a little off, but the ratios are still about the same.

    @Brietbart,

    Golf? What is your point? No doubt Bush had some other hobby that consumed his free time. Not to mention other members of his close circle, like Cheney, who was fond of shooting people in the face.

    Bush was highly critisized as he never spent enough time in the White House.

    Was he in Washington on the 9/11? Nope, he was in Fla. Sorry to tell you more bad news.

    From the article:

    "Obama, as the most visible target for voter ire"

    Ha ha ha ha! How is this possible?

    Fact : Obama played more golf in 2 years than bush did in 8.

    And bush has more DWIs.

    And he spent more time clearing brush and scaring armadillos in 8 years as resident than the last 5 presidents combined.

    Oh, I forgot...FACT.

    Pointless hatred entertains me to no end. Please continue.

    Sorry, Bush really is not relevant here to entertain you.

    Do you realize how stupid that sounds, and how typical of those so left leaning? You jab at Republicans for not knowing what a fact is, then state that the so-called 'facts' as erroneously stated are a little off - but still okay.

    So essentially by the thinking of a Democrat, a fact is a fact - or close enough - as long as it goes along with your belief system. I see.

    Well, we could discuss how much time old slick Willie spent chasing skirt in the White House - never mind that impressionable young intern was young enough to be his daughter, possibly making him a target for a Chris Hanson expose.

    President Obama needs a nice break from all the aggravation he's had to put up with.

    President Obama needs a nice break from all the aggravation he's had to put up with.

    The American people need a nice break from all from all of the aggravation that President Obama has put them through. People who are looking for a job don't need to see Obama on television everyday blaming someone else for his lack of results.

  • -1

    HumanTarget

    @wolfpack,

    oh, you mean the republicans? They are to blame for his lack of results after all. They filibuster anything that isn't expressly a tax break for the rich.

    Consveratives all have the same exact talking points. It's Obama's fault for not getting enough done! (even though the republicans vehemently vote against everything he proposes, on principle, even though doing so is clearly against voter interest)

    It's Obamas fault we are in a war! (even though Republicans are responsible for them)

    It's Obama's fault the economy collapsed! (even though Republicans made it possible for banks to do whatever they want, regulation free)

    Future arguments: Its Obama's fault terrorists attacked again (even though it was a Republican idea to start fights with every Muslim nation in the world)

    It's Obama's fault no jobs are being created! (even though actually they are, and every progressive idea in the last 50 years have contributed to job growth while every conservative idea has led to job loss)

    SOCIALISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (even though tax rates now are lower than they were with Republican hero Ronald Reagen, and Capitalist poster boy Warren Buffet is specifically telling Congress to tax him and other rich people more)
