Afghanistan is just a pathetic waste of our time and money! Why are we still wasting our time in such a backwards country?? To bring "democracy" to the Taliban goons?? As soon as the USA pulls out all hell will break loose, the Taliban will hunt down Karzai and any of his supporters until it gets invaded again by ????

The US is running out of money fighting all those unnecessary wars that have drained US economy and brought NO PEACE anyway , ( not to mention cost thousands of American men their lives & wellbeing)

No, that's not so. Why did we get involved with Afghan war? Osama Bin Laden was found and killed. We said we will go after him after the 9/11. The mission accomplished as we declared. We need to get out.

The US will exit with some similarity as the USSR's Afghanistan exit and the US exits from Iraq and Vietnam. But will TPTB actually learn from it? Highly unlikely.

That's correct. "Zero" US troops. He meant it. We need to draw a clear line in combat when to get in and when to get out swiftly. No if, but, and how.

China maybe smarter than the USA?? While America gets bogged down in messy wars in crap places like Afghanistan the Chinese will make sure to sell everybody shoes, clothes, tvs etc.. Maybe high time for the USA to rethink it's foreign policy.

Show me the money, and I love you. Karzai needs to go and enjoy the billions he has taken from the USA "military and humanitarian" support. President Obama is doing what he was elected to do:: End the Bush fiascos.

Heh, without the "Bush fiascos," The Taliban would still be running Afghanistan, Bin Laden would probably be still alive and running Al Qaida, and Saddam Hussein would still be running Iraq with an iron fist.
