"Saddled" seems like a slight to me.Is someone tryin to suggest Obama and his team did not know what they were taking on?Is this another subtle sign that the honeymoon is over and the media is ever so slightly turning against him?

sejichu: I've stated before. I've have fired staff for using the same thing. You took the job, you knew whatt you were getting into and you said you would make it better. They need to stop this. I'd respect them a lot more if they did. But I'll give O a pass but I sure as hell won't do that for the Dems who have been in power for last few years.

On the contrary, it's a not-at-all subtle sign that the media still acknowledges the fact that he inherited to hopeless causes when he took on the job. Knowing that's going to be the case when you TAKE the job doesn't make it any less unfortunate, my friend, nor any less factual. If I take on the job of a person retiring, knowing that I'm taking on a company he utterly botched up, it doesn't make it any less botched up by him because I took it on, regardless of how much time passes. I can affect it, absolutely. But anyway, look up 'be saddled with' and check out the nuances; you'll see again as I said above -- he was saddled with them, and they are not easy to fix.

I had to post the last one before finishing, since I had to run out for a minute, but wanted to finish earlier by saying that on the anniversary of this horrific act, let's keep the bickering to a minimum as to who is to blame for what (between presidents, I mean), and what should or should not have been done.
I pray for all the souls who perished on that day, and I hope that politics don't get in the way of ANYONE (be it Obama or otherwise) trying to make peace from the horrors of war and death.

Well said, smithinjapan. One of the lessons that can be taken from this sorry saga is the futility of war. NObody wins a war. With the WMD lies that killed so many, and the pigheaded conflict in the hills of Afghanistan that has changed what? Nothing. Reports today say the Taliban have control of over 90% of the country. What was all this blood spilled for? Oil through a pipeline for Karzai's buddies in Texas? And the $$$ cost to the already hard hit US taxpayer for what? Misery, economic disaster and more misery. I agree with you, time to make peace, not war. And Obama will have to move fast. The latest National Intelligence Estimate shows Iran is NOT building military grade nuclear facilities, and he'll have to rein in Netanyahu who's trying like heck to start another war, which, if it happens will affect everyone on the planet. Heckuva task Barack!

Thanks to the clueless idiot the GOP supported 2000-2008.
Republicans wouldn't know about taking responsibility if it was dressed up in stockings and jumped out of a birthday cake.

LOL! Do you actually think that as long as someone knows what they are taking on, that they can't be described as being saddled with the problems created by others? Your reading any slight in this is sheer silliness.

We should also keep some thoughts in mind for the tens of thousands of innocent souls who have perished as a result of that day.

What are solutions to 2 wars,8 years after 2001?
Clueless ways of past are getting less in 2009.
Pursuit of happiness is good vision in USA/World to carry on.
The future pursuit of happiness vision for Afghanistan/Iraq is a good plan.
It is part of global sucess plan, in the pursuit of happiness goal for World in 2009/2010s.

As far as presidents go, Obama has to be one of the most insipid lackluster presidents I have ever seen.

Lackluster president, that's kinda funny, Ha Ha.
Maybe he'd have more luster if he allowed another attack on the US like his predicessor did. Maybe if he'd come up with catchy lies like WMD in Iraq. Maybe if he'd send someone who is loved and trusted by Americans, like Colin Powell, to the UN with fabricated lies, then maybe he'd have more luster.
Obama knew what he was getting into. And still he ran for president. At least he didn't come into office with a personal agenda at the expense of 1000s of innocent lives. < :-)

Who is President Obama's opposite in these wars? What leader is he fighting? What is the cause his opponent wishes to advance? Wars have armies, armies have commanders.Obama is Commander in Chief. So, who is he fighting?

But, but, but .... remember all the global liberals said the entire world started loving us again at 12:01, Jan. 20th this year.

Keeping Americans safe, (Obama) says, is “the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning; it’s the last thing that I think about when I go to sleep at night.”
It's obvious that his teleprompter told him to say that.
Nothing he ever "says" is going to change my opinion that he is one of those who honestly believes the 9-11 attack was "chickens coming home to roost".
Obama has the gall to pretend that he desires to keep us Americans safe considering how he travels around on our dime to bow low to Arab and Muslim nations and beg their for forgiveness for the policies of the United States in regards to the "religion of peace"; an ideology that approves of honor killings, stonings, raping prisoners of both sexes, hanging gays from streetlights and that great Islamic symbol of freedom; jihad against all non-believing infidels.
In respect to pledging to protect Americans, Obama is a fraud and liar.

If you saw the speach RomeoRamenII you'd have seen there was no teleprompter. But then you've been incorrect before.
Why are republicans so against teleprompters? george bush used a teleprompter. his worst gaffs were when he side stepped the teleprompter and spoke clear from the ass.
I was off from my second career today and I watched the ceremony live. It's a sad day. Too bad our previous president and his gang of clowns allowed the attack to happen. < :-)

ADD:
You SAW a speach (sic)? Most people HEAR a speech. Then again, you think professional rasslin' is a sport.
However, alan, you are correct about Clinton and his gang of clowns allowing the 9-11 attack to happen.

Oh RomeoRamenII, you are such a silly. President Obama observed an anniversary today that was only made possible by george bush's gang of villians. Because of his (dick cheney, bush's secrataries, DHS folks and Condi) not following up on reports of attacks by planes, the 9/11/01 disaster happened. But you're allowed to see things through your distorted glasses.
I'm pretty lucky Romeo. I've got one of these new contraptions where I can watch and hear at the same time. Boy am I lucky. < :-)

Aday: never thought of you as being one of those 911Truth-ers!

skipthesong I had to look up what 911Truth-ers were. Apparently you haven't paid much attention to my post. I have been convinced for a long time that there was a complistity (sp) to the attacks on the WTC and bush's non-action.
I was never convinced that a plane went into the Pentagon.
So to set things straight... I believe that george bush's inactivity and keeping the information in house that Al-Quaeda was going to use planes to attack us allowed us to be attacked. Thanks george. < :-)
