All this politcal pander BS really is stupid. Instead of making empty promises, how about saying, "I can do this better, I can do that better, I am willing to work together with others to work on the issues that are troubling our nation...." Instead we just get more, "He failed at this, he failed at that! I dont really have much else to offer except that I like trying to make the other guy look worse than me!"

A 3rd party needs to crop up with a nice large majority of non democratic/republican moderate independent thinking people willing to share ideas on how to improve the problems facing the US. Bush did a few things I liked and a lot of things I didn't like. Same goes for Obama. They keep playing these games I'll do just like I did in the last election, "to hell with all of them..."

Romney reaaly is a charmless nofo. But US politics is just a game of small clique running things and hoodwinking public. Matt Taibbi writes so well on exactly this kind of meaningless exchange.

America and the world need a new fresh air for the future of next generation is at stake. U.S. deficit is biggest ever, the dictators all over the globe have gone wild under the divisive policy of kicking can down the road of Obama. There are more holes around the world and getting deeper everyday. We need president who cares about America and the world and not just his own ego. Romney can be a good new direction.

HonestDictator: You know, I actually agree with you 100%. I wanted to add that having a third party, a serious third party, crop up for contention would make politics more honest. Or at least, it would make the mudslingers realize that that's all they are doing -- mudslinging. It might even make them focus on what they need and want to do, not what others are failing to do.

Ralph Nader was spot-on in 2000 when he said the two-party system is completely rotten, and both presidents elected since then have done nothing to disprove that view. At a very minimum there should be term limits for members of both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court Judges. Unfortunately this is not likely to happen since those with vested interests will hang on tenaciously to their power and privileges.

“The president—I’m sure—wants another four years. But the first years didn’t go so well,” Romney said, slamming Obama’s record on job creation and the gaping budget deficit and saying he guided America in the wrong direction.

Funny thing is Romney is as deluded as the rest of the anti-American conservatives.

He says he believes in America and yet parks much of his money in offshore Swiss bank accounts.

He says he believes in America and yet supports the crushing of jobs and destruction of livelihoods.

He says he supports Americans and yet opposed the GM bailout that saved the company that powered America to victory in WW2.

He tries to identify with ordinary Americans and yet owns how many houses and has mega millions in the bank (which ones we aren't sure.)

Romney is the epitome of the anti-American American, and is going to be buried in November by patriotic voters who have had enough of the hatred, venom, lies and deceit that are hallowed hallmarks and badges of pride worn by every senior GOP member.

conservatives is the failure to take responsibility.

We see it in John Boehner, we see it in Mitt Romney, we see it in American terrorist Dick Cheney and the rest who took to the economy with a baseball bat and then blame blame president Obama for the result.

It's that complete lack of responsibility that makes conservatives no better than deadbeat dads, those losers who create problems and then run away from them, too gutless to solve them.

And that's the last kind of person America needs in a leadership position

Why should Obama pack his bags? Has Romney raised enough money that he is going to pay to build a new White House for the two term president??

I do believe Romney is having fun with and at Obama's expense.

It would not be the first time Romney had done things at the expense of others.

Hilary Rosen has apologized for her offensive remarks about Ann Romney, a woman to be respected for her accomplishments and battles against disease.

  • 2

Rosen need not have apologized. Ann Romney may have many admirable qualities, but her work history is not one of them. Certainly, raising five boys is a difficult task, but it's made a whole lot easier when spread over three houses and multiple servants. Ann took up dressage as therapy for her MS, and good for her for that: I do not begrudge her her luck in life.

She does not in any way, however, speak for the average working woman. Her husband has adopted policies that would arguably hurt working women: for example, he has hedged on his support for equal work, equal pay. His lack of support for healthcare, nutrition and education are harmful. He's also had this to say on requirements for single working women to receive federal aid:

I wanted to increase the work requirement. I said, for instance, that even if you have a child 2 years of age, you need to go to work. And people said, 'Well that's heartless.' And I said, 'No, no, I'm willing to spend more giving day care to allow those parents to go back to work. It'll cost the state more providing that daycare, but I want the individuals to have the dignity of work.

So good for Ann. And if you're a single mother unable to afford insurance and struggling to provide adequate nutrition and education for your child, get a job - even if it pays less than equivalent jobs for men. It will build character, kinda in the same way dressage does.

Mitt Romney warned him to “start packing” and get ready to leave the White House

Typical. White people buying the building and kicking out the black family. When will America learn?

Its you who is racist. Romney will not be kicking anyone out, anymore than Obama did. The president gets nominated and is then elected by the voters.
