The Obama administration says it opposes the bill, and officials said the issue didn’t come up in Obama’s meeting with King Salman.

Now that's leadership....pfff

Bob Graham, a former chairman of the US senate intelligence committee, has alleged that Saudi Arabia was the principal financier of 9/11. “The effect of withholding [the pages] has been to embolden Saudi Arabia to be a continuing source of financial and human terror resources,” he said.

Document 17, written by Dana Lesemann and Michael Jacobson, will deepen suspicions. Ms Lesemann is said to have been sacked from the 9/11 commission after she circumvented her boss to access the 28 pages.

Lots more to this story, like the Saudi's threatening to sell off their SECRET US treasury holdings.

Lets face it. Without Saudi Arabia ISIL could not continue to exist. Just as Saudi money, men and supplies kept Al Qaeda going, Saudi support in buying ISIL oil and supplying them with weapons, food and supplies keeps ISIL alive.

Considering that 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi Arabian nationals on 9/11, it is a wonder why Iraq was invaded ,yet nobody ever looked at a link to the Saudis? And if the Saudi Arabian leadership has nothing to hide then why such opposition? Not only that but threats of economic blackmail too!!!

To see Obama strolling around aimlessly in Saudi (at present) without asking or demanding answers to these questions is an affront to the many lives lost .......

It's incredible that Saudi Arabia is described as an "ally" of the US and the west when it is nothing of the sort. They actively promote terrorism, hate and intolerance in neighbouring countries and around the world. Their children are taught in official Saudi textbooks that all non-sunni muslims must be killed. It is a hateful, misogynistic hellhole that should be ostracised and isolated until the people there learn to behave in a civilised manner.

If Saudi Arabia is an "ally" then North Korea and China must be described as the US's best friends.

The Saudis in particular have bristled at Obama’s suggestion that they “share the neighborhood” with Iran, which they see as their foe.

Yemen is right in Saudi's backyard. The Iranians are supporting the shiite rebels vs sunni gov. Bristled at Obama? I'm sure the Saudis hate him for giving iran "the deal."

They also discussed ways to counter threats from Iran — a high priority for the Gulf countries dismayed with the U.S. move to reduce sanctions on Tehran as part of last year’s nuclear deal.

Bibi and Isreal are worrying about this very same thing. With all those unfrozen iranian assets, you just know the mullahs will be kicking hard cash throughout the region: Hamas, the Houthis and enhancing their missiles program thanks to russia.

Iran is a (admittedly imperfect) democracy with a great capacity for change. One thing it will not do is to abandon support for its Shia brethren, particularly in regions close to it. However, its methods of supporting these struggling people are subject to change, as is the face Iran chooses to present to the world.

Iran is young and alive, whereas Saudi Arabia is old and decrepit. It is good for the latter to know that the US has options.

This why the Saudi King didn't show up when Obama arrived.

Stepping off of Air Force One at King Khalid International Airport, Obama was greeted not by King Salman but by a lower-ranking royal, Prince Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud

Saudi TV news didn't even show the king and Obama shake hands.

If Obama shook the king's hand, his haters would accuse him of capitulating. If he doesn't shake the king's hand, they will accuse him of making America look bad.

Haters gon' hate.

But obama is encouraging the iranian reformists, when everyone knows dam well they're just puppets. The Saudis know this big time. The ultimate power lies with the mullahs and the ayatollah, the hard-liners.

The deal obama gave the iranians make his administration look soft. Handshake or no handshake.

Saudi is no puppet

So Obama got a chilly reception in Saudi Arabia, big deal, he can stop off at Kenya on the way back home to adoring crowds to make up for this.
