That's right. They need a working class hero like . . . Rocky!

Yeah. This guy is the One, he will heal the divisions in our country, He will fix our broken souls, as his wife claims:
"... And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
In other words they're just, you know, "typical white people."

"People are fed up, they are angry, they’re frustrated and they’re bitter. And they want to see a change in Washington." Amen to that, from a typical white person!

Barack Hussein Obama is a racist.
He made that clear long before the comment cited above.

I just don't get the attraction. Is it a lack of choice that draws people to Obama? "He's got a vision." But no plan.(neither do the others). I am afraid people are getting sucked into Obama and the rhetoric like they did with Kennedy. He was an incredible inspirational speaker, but he had no plan and no experience. He flubbed our foreign policy for the first 2 years of his presidency. He got credit for avoiding war with the Soviets, but it was his perceived weakness(that sent the message to the Soviets) and lack of credientals (so thought Khrushchev) that got us in the Missile crisis in Cuba 1962. I see Obama as the same way. He will spin around trying to learn how to be President and all that implies for his first 2 years, making a lot of mistakes and then have a strong finish as he gets into his groove. He will get a pass because he is America's first black president, but Can we afford to wait for him 2-3 years to mature in the Oval Office? If he turns out to be a racist, and a closet Islamist. It will be 20 years before America see another black President. I think we have far better examples out there in the Black community who would act more in line with how Americans feel and represent Black America more accurately.

just like "change", I expect Hillary to jump on the "bitterness" bandwagon soon.
It's really hard to get the ingrained to think differently = even big oil still won't give up their government handouts = how can we expect politicians to give up their big money?

Well, yeah, voters are angry and bitter! The next president is going to be Obama, Clinton or McCain! What's up with THAT?!

If I was a dyed-in-the-wool socialist running for the U.S. presidency, well, yeah, I'd give this angle a shot.
Get smart: It's the white males who will chose the next president. Period.

barack has secured the American wannabee, europeon and Islamoterrorist vote. But come September it will be hillary against Mr. McCain. The super delegates won't cast their vote for a "hate whitey" candidate.

I'm angry and bitter that the best president we can get in 2009 is McCain. And the very real possibility that we may get Obama or Clinton. WTF!

Ah, yes. Being anything but upbeat is anti-American.

You're right Sarge. Not much of a choice this time around. But then we have not had much of a choice in a very long time.
