I'm glad the president was able to get in a few hours of R&R.
Did he eat any escargot?

He definitely deserves some R and R. He is the hardest working president in a long time.

Indeed.
sarge: You ever tried escargots? When I was a kid way back when I used to cook at a restaurant and eventually worked up to sous-chef. The chef I worked under insisted that we try everything that we prepared ourselves, so that we knew what we were giving to the customers. Anyway, escargots was, unfortunately, on the menu, and I ate them once in a while. Taste was all fine, but as with a lot of things with similar texture (sazae, for example), I just hate the feeling of it.
It is, of course, still a delicacy world-wide, so all the power to Obama if he did indeed decide to try some. Hell, they probably cracked jokes with him about 'patriot fries' and how the culture/food the US embraced was never really 'French fried' to begin with. haha.

Just proves that he's more interested in running for president that being president.

the president goes out to dinner whoop-de-do. doesn't the state run media have anything better to report?

Romeo/VOR: Obama's already been president on the job more than bush was in eight years, and if you want to tally minutes spent actually 'taking time off' you could probably make the case Obama has been actually WORKING more than bush worked in eight years. After all, bush had more holidays at Camp David under his belt than any president in US history and only after 2 or 3 years.

Some people know how to rest. Others don't when they keep on bringing up their favorite topic time after time. I wonder how much time they actually work when having to rant with long-winded comments time and again on that obsession...

It's a good thing we're not in a recession. Trips like these, and the Obama's $24,000 dates would be viewed quite poorly.

what's Bush got to do with my comment regarding the state run media smith. all Presidents deserve time off and no one should really care how much, when and what they are doing but the US media is so smitten with Obama, they have lost all objectivity and seem to think this sort of nonsense is newsworthy. please avoid jumping to conclusions in the future.

That is really amazing. Please post your sources. I'd be interested in the specifics. I'll check back.

Yahtze! Another excellent post from you my fine friend. It really is too funny watching the few remaining bush supporters here try and defend the worst president of all time, and one from the get-go,who is now in Texas eating his patriot fries. Haha.Well, I guess they just can't forget about their hero and focus on accepting the election results.Instead, they want Obama to FAIL!I can't believe it at times. Can you? Well, anyways, we all know Obama has taken France by storm and already the healing has began. By the way,the First Lady Michelle looked fabulous!

That may be true, but Obama's vacations thus far are leaving a pretty big carbon footprint: Hawaii, Chicago, New York, Paris, ....

"That's is" should have either been that's or that is. Dumb donkey.

Didn't know the Associated Press was state run.
Just because some media penders to left doesn't mean they are state run. They are companies that exist to make profit, if baising themselves towards the left makes more money for them, then they are doing what any good company does, just like FOX does when it panders to right. If talking about where Obama goes in Paris is uninteresting to you, don't read about it. It would seem though that enough people want to read about it, so a profit can be made and therefore it should be printed/reported about.

The media should not be pandering or promoting anybody. They should be reporting the news in a fair and balanced way. More and more Americans are turning their backs on a media that is no longer trustworthy; a gaggle of Obama lovers who have no journalistic integrity.

And what do you know about journalistic integrity?
