Obama to Asians worried about U.S. election: It's going to be OK

Phew, he said it's going to be okay. What a relief.

As if Asians have a say in the US elections. I think Americans have more to worry about and decide for ourselves if we want 4 more years of the economical policies that is chocking Americans or move forward with something new that affects millions of Americans.

You can not swallow the whole stroy on trust.

No way Bass, USA cannot sustain 4 more years! The rich got richer and the poor got poorer in the last 7.5 years exponentially. The handouts increased, the tax base reduced. USA cannot continue this path. Simple economics....you can't buy what you can't afford. Nearing $20 Trillion in debt, USA has debt reduction priorities, spending more is economic suicide.

Obama is soon going to bow out, leaving the US even more debt ridden. Still, it's not his problem now........

No, it won't be. They'll blame it on Bush and Trump not ever realizing the truth. Okay I'll say it now. The Afghanistan and Iraqi war absorbed many billions. The housing bubble was a failed liberal policy bursting on Bush. And the green investments, shovel ready jobs didn't pay off. Sitting home waiting for the monthly food allowance folks sure did surge in the past 7.5 years!

And is there any link between the trillions for those two wars and America's budget hole? Let's get some straight forward accounting of that connection.

On housing, I remember Bush touting home ownership just like Bill Clinton did. Neither warned people about predatory subprime lending. But at least Trump was in favor of the housing crash, for altruistic reasons of course.

Of course he was Torasan. When you make a purchase do you look for the highest price to pay? And when it comes to investments, do you look for the highest commissions or max return?

Those two wars are continueing today. 8 years after the promise to withdrawal. We saw the failed attempt at that. Just so you know, I believe al-Qaida needed to be obliterated after 9/11. Iraq...still a mystery to me. Husain had and used WMD's within Iraq. Why the Bush admin and Hillary wanted to take out he mass murderer defies me. Cost? Not several trillion. I assure you of that.

I get the feeling that when Republicans use terms like "the last 7.5 years" that they are excluding what happened to the economy under Bush. The story seems to be "a black guy was elected President and people got lazy and stopped working" with no mention of how well over a million people were put of of work in Bush's final months.

Super, entitlements are a a record high. Labor participation rate is at record highs since the '30s'. The liberal policies of home ownership collapsed. Allowing loans to people deep in debt or not solidly employed helps the default rate skyrocket. Supply and demand inflated prices and reversed as loan defaults excellerated.

Once again, I am not a republican. Labels without facts offer credibility concerns. Oh, I am a minority and you use race in your comment as if my Obama negativity is racially driven. Again, credibility issue. And lastly not once have I said Bush didn't do it or did a great job, don't forget, I'm not a republican, life is not as simple as either your a republican or a democrat. Individual thinkers know that no one system is utopia.

I said it years ago and I'll say it again. Obama's presidency will go down as a huge failure in future history books. He is responsible for $10 Trillion or more of US debt by The end of this year.

@MarkG, the cost of the US defense budget is at least 600 to 700 billion dollars even during wartime. Why wouldn't costs of fighting overseas for years be exponentially higher? When you estimate billions, you are talking about the weekly additional war costs. So how many weeks did each war continue? How much did it cost to move a million soldiers and billions of dollars of equipment over 10 years? Lets get real with the accounting for once.

On the other hand, police are being assaulted, dealing with riots, arresting unruly protesters. Trump and his supporters are pro Law Enforcement. So clearly, they are not causing raucousness by simple free speech.

Actually, No conservative I know (unlike liberals that will never admit to anything) acknowledge what Bush did to the economy, however, we need to face the harsh reality that Obama will put the country in an even greater debt hole once he's gone, but why would he care?
