Why do the Saudis get carte blanche on Human Rights?

Because the US needs allies in the ME. And the US needs the oil.

I wish it weren't so. Saudi Arabia is one of the most repressive countries on earth, and a leading exporter of radical Islamism and jihadis, all of whom (amazingly) find the regime too secular.
