We'll see. I think she might be an excellent choice. Now to watch the republicans get up in arms. < :-)

She would be the third Jewish justice along with six Catholics. With Stevens’ retirement, the court will have no Protestants, the most prevalent denomination in the U.S.

That is a pretty amazing demographic statistic.

At least Obama didn't nominate anybody for the the court who graduated from Oral Roberts Law School...

Like Obama this woman was also a socialist in her uni days, though in her case she has at least made her thesis available (online even) to the Great Unwashed. For that I rather admire her. But, like Obama she also took the craven Alinsky route - - keeping her Jewish 'faith' and making the 'long march through the institutions,' to undue 'the system' by attacking from within.

You've just got to laugh when you see whacked out posts like this. :-)

I though Jews were ruling the world with capitalism...

Anyways, complete nonsense and thanks for the laugh.

Obama picked an anti-military loon to sit on the Supreme Court. Elena Kagan expelled military recruiters from the Harvard campus in defiance of The Solomon Act. Her case was rejected by even the most liberal justices of the Supreme Court. Of course, the fact that Obama would nominate some radical with such poor judgement to the Supreme Court surprises no one.

Of course, there are the loons who can't get a simple story straight. Kagan did not "expel" military recruiters; Harvard Law School found the military programs to be in violation of their non-discrimination policies, and it was Harvard that banned the recruiters. Kagan supported Harvard in its right to determine who gets access to their campus.

It's called "local control" and it used to be a conservative principle.

But it's fun to see those who simply regurgitate the latest talking points from Conservative Central.

DADT is congressional law, not military policy. One would think that as a potential SCOTUS nominee, Kagen would be smart enough to know the difference.

Oh, wait .... this story's about an Obama nominee.

    Nevermind.

LOL!! And, like troops once segregated by race, the exclusion of gays from military service is something that will soon be relegated to the dustbin of history.

Give Kagan credit for honoring the military AND the gays' right to render service to their country in the face of discrimination. That, and for being on the right side of history long before the vast majority of her conservative detractors.
