This can be good. Far too many people have had problems with student loans. I don't blame the lenders, I blame the schools for jacking up prices every time legislation makes it easier for student to get loans.

I support O on this one. I don't mind paying taxes for this.

The president’s proposal would switch the federal student loan system entirely to direct lending from the government.

I don’t recall seeing anywhere in the Constitution where the federal government is granted the authority to make loans for education or guarantee loans for education.

If Obama succeeds in suppling funding for education exclusively, he'll have total power to dictate what subjects will be taught and how those subjects will be presented.

TexasAggie- Most students who go to college have some form of government aid. This is to even the playing field a little for those that don't have silver spoons. teleprompter- more alarmist drivel from you? Pray tell, what is Obama's grand design that you see so clearly?
