Obama said: “The actions I’ve taken on my own can’t take the place of what we really need, which is Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform. ... You have the power to push Congress to do it.”

Just as Donald J. Trump's supporters have demanded.

Obama's policies have damaged the middle class American to the point of extinction. He uses the word bigot to stifle individuals who want nothing more than civil laws enforced. When the privileged few get elected into office their vision of reality can often make them fools. He should be forced to live on $20,000 a year to see how his policies effect the average citizen.

What you insisted there doesn't seem to be any relevant to the content of this article but I get what you want to say. Personally, he, Obama, was a gift to US and also it was possible because it was America. Greatness would mean all differently to each individuals but I reckon he made US great country by taking on all the taboos of the country openly.

Trump says he would make US great again and I don't see any greatness in his plan. Personally again, if he manages to enter the White House, the US will go backward decades and all the greatness built up over a century will fade away very quickly.

He might not have been a perfect president, since he already admitted some mistake made during his time, but it was good to witness his bold challenge to the social taboos and trying to start talk about it openly.

I'm not American and haven't even been to the States but I'm proud of him and feel honoured to be contemporaries with him.

"(Obama) should be forced to live on $20,000 a year to see how his policies effect the average citizen."

I don't get it. Do you seriously believe that Obama has a policy that deliberately limits wage hikes? MacDonalds and Walmart workers often have poverty-inducing wages, and that is the direct result of policies created by those companies' executives, not by the White House.

What exactly is a "middle class" American?

Seems like a pretty silly group to appeal to given they are the most successful immigrant group in the US.

As long as the illegals from Mexico / and central american slums don't come. They bring drugs & commit too many crimes. They don't have lots of hard cash to throw around and start-up businesses like the Asians coming in.

The Asian immigrants drive better cars too.

Asian work hard,,,so they can buy nice things,,well done

Asian work hard,,,so they can buy nice things,,well done

Yeah, they do. And most of them are very educated and mannered. The Mexicans work hard too, but some of them are not as law abiding as the Asians.

Just as Donald J. Trump's supporters have demanded.

Yes, if congress could trust this Tyrant, but history has shown, you just can't!

Bigotry ... How come Asian Americans like to attend Universities? Why they like to become doctors?

Obama should realize it is Clinton's election Be should keep mouth shut about Asians in West. He forgot he was boycotted by entire Nevada dem members when he visited in his second term. Majority of Asians are dem.

"I'm not American and haven't even been to the States but I'm proud of him and feel honoured to be contemporaries with him." - comments

This sentiment is shared by hundreds of millions around the globe.

Only Trump supporters hate and are proud to write about that here.

"Obama should realize it is Clinton's election Be should keep mouth shut about Asians in West." - comments

A refined way of expressing and idea that seems to indicate the President shouldn't have the same right of free speech as the commenter has.

In its clarity it shows the same contempt for free speech the Trump supporters showed as they beat people at Trump loyalty rallies before raising their right hands high in pledging loyalty to Donald J. Trump.

Again, thanks to comments that prove more than any single comment could convey.

Some GOP members are working on third party to crush Nov 8 election of Trump. They say it will help Clinton to be elected but better than seeing Trump as Pres.

What's with the use of the word bigotry in the headline. Obama is not quoted as using the word and it doesn't show up anywhere in the text. The power of the word is diminished every time it is used frivolously and to use it in the context of this article is frivolous. It's just sensationalizing with the intention of selling more papers.

Obama said: “The actions I’ve taken on my own can’t take the place of what we really need, which is Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform. ... You have the power to push Congress to do it.” Just as Donald J. Trump's supporters have demanded.

So.. Obama agrees with the Trump supporters? Hey wait a minute! That means that Obama agrees with David Duke.... Oh my God! First I find out that Joe Arpaio (Americas Toughest Sheriff) is a meth addict and now Obama agrees with the Trump supporters, this is becoming too much to take. Whoa.... whoa, whoa...... Do you think Obama is a meth addict, too?

definition: intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself:

what we really need is Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform as Donald J. Trump's supporters have demanded but Republican House leaders did not bring the bill up for a vote. - edited for clarity

In other news . . . Trump's racists are opposed by Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Speaker Paul Ryan is refusing to support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for president, insisting Thursday that the businessman must do more to unify the GOP.

The surprise declaration from Ryan on CNN's "The Lead" amounted to a stunning rebuke of Trump from the Republican Party's highest-ranking officeholder.

Trump has pushed intolerance and spent millions campaigning on hate.

The Republican Speaker opposes this while the President is asking the Asian Pacific American Institute of Congressional Studies’ to contact their Representatives to urge comprehensive reform of immigration laws.

Americans have been saying that about Trump since the his campaign of hate began.

Rightly, the commenter notes Trump's campaign of hate forced Americans to reflect on their moral and civic responsibilities and this dialogue has revealed a massive rejection of Trump's bigotry resulting in Obama urging Asian-Americans to stand up to bigotry. You're welcome.

Who cares what the world thinks?

Only Trump supporters hate and are proud to write about that here.

So why is it ok, to write about Obama or Hillary? Democratic hate is different? How so?

"Obama should realize it is Clinton's election Be should keep mouth shut about Asians in West." - comments

A refined way of expressing and idea that seems to indicate the President shouldn't have the same right of free speech as the commenter has.

And yet, many liberals, the looney progressive ones, hate free speech, but love it for their personal political agenda? Why?

In its clarity it shows the same contempt for free speech the Trump supporters showed as they beat people at Trump loyalty rallies before raising their right hands high in pledging loyalty to Donald J. Trump.

Sigh, more liberal lies. Show me links to how many Trump supporters have been seeking out people to beat and I'll show you dozens of videos of ANTI-Trump violence that is off the charts!

Again, thanks to comments that prove more than any single comment could convey

My deepest pleasure.

In other news . . . Trump's racists are opposed by Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

No, they just want the Republicans to do their job, don't worry about Obama and don't wimp on the Dems pushing them on this issue.

It's Ryan's right to support the candidate of his choice.

Trump has pushed intolerance and spent millions campaigning on hate.

As did Hillary, at least what we know, what we don't know could be more.

The Republican Speaker opposes this while the President is asking the Asian Pacific American Institute of Congressional Studies’ to contact their Representatives to urge comprehensive reform of immigration laws.

For what reason?

Americans have been saying that about Trump since the his campaign of hate began.

And the hate about Hillary, what do you think about her 62% disapproval rating?

Rightly, the commenter notes Trump's campaign of hate forced Americans to reflect on their moral and civic responsibilities and this dialogue has revealed a massive rejection of Trump's bigotry resulting in Obama urging Asian-Americans to stand up to bigotry. You're welcome.

Can you prove that Trump is a bigot? You can't. Can you prove that Democrats are the party of racism, not to mention, they invented the Klan, but how is Chicago, LA, and all the other urban cities. I think people are waking up and realizing it's not the GOP that's racist.

Moderator: Once again, we ask you not to reply to other posts sentence by sentence. It's really not that difficult.

Two blind men rowing a boat could make more progress than the Republican controlled Congress.

"In a reference to Donald Trump, the likely Republican presidential nominee, Obama urged the audience to push back against anti-immigrant sentiment, especially from people who stoke such feelings for political gain." - article

“We will live up to our ideals,” said Obama.

Trump supporter's ideal is David Duke as Vice President. Trump only needs thumpers to break all the mirrors in America.

CNBC this morning had interview with Connie Chang. She talked her memory of Trump when he came to her show rge day before he was divorced. Like her, Asians tend to succeed in whatever field they choose. Obama should encourage Hispanic more except the actress who plays Wonder Woman.
