Send the bill to for the plane and other government costs to Miller and Bae. It was a foolish decision to go there and all it did was give NK the opportunity to appear to be benevolent. Watch for the books or movies to come next.

Now will the government get its head together and ban all travel to North Korea to prevent America's odd balls from going there. What their reasons for going are, God only knows, but it kind of looks like these odd balls just want to be seen on TV and become famous.

The kidnapping of America's odd balls by N. Korea will probably continue anyway in one form or another, but, hopefully, it will happen far less often by officially declaring such a travel ban. If any of America's odd balls decide that they still want to go to N.Korea anyway, disobey the ban and they get taken hostage by the N.Koreans, then the U.S. shouldn't lift a finger for their release. Well, perhaps a pamphlet on how to adjust to N.Korean culture. That would probably get a worthy chuckle out of the N.Koreans.

"Now will the government get its head together and ban all travel to North Korea to prevent America's odd balls from going there." The is no way to legislate against stupidity. Freedom to leave the USA is an American right, but to be saved at tax payers' expense because a person thinks he will "save" someone in NK is not a right. Now, President Obama needs any photo op he can get after being beaten up in the election, and this is just that. The USA government can't buy a $250 iPad for every American student but it can buy a publicity stunt like this one.

So by that logic your saying that the US should never be involved in any action outside of it own borders because thats exactly what the US does all the time with its military which is called humanitarian. Thus the story is a good one where the Govt fullfulled its obligations to its tax payers.

Miller tried to defect to North Korea. The son of a wealthy oil executive learned through years of good Left wing education that life in the Hermit Kingdom was the ideal way to live. He must hate that he is being forced to go home to his wealthy upper class family.

Ah, the idiots return. Now we just need NK government to cease it's existence.

Freedom to leave the USA is an American right

Just don't expect to be able to stop paying taxes.
