I don't see the problem here: -If Obama wants to use his frequent flyer points he should be able to use them.

Heck, at least he isn't cheating on her like old Clin-Ton did xD. US President earns about 400~500k a year and of course that is paid by taxpayers money... We're paying him to run our country, and the money he earns is up for him to use how he sees fit. People shouldn't think politicians work for free now do they?

People shouldn't think politicians work for free now do they?" No, but I do believe they should work a lot of restrictions. On top of that salary, they free health care, security for their whole families... I'm not going to list them. Not to mention, take a look at their retirements.
Its not Obama, its all of them in Washington.

Bush took 900 days off in his wasted 8 years in office, and we paid for his travel back to his ranch in texas so he could not read intelligence reports and let OBL attack the US. How much did that cost the US in lives and treasure?
When Obama screws up that bad, then the republicans can speak up.

Let's cut down on all this spending. It is not just Obama, it is the lot of them. Presidents past, members of Congress, royalty, etc. Instead of flying at the taxpayer's expense using Airforce 1, let Barry and the kids fly economy with the taxpayers. Moreover, get rid of that Limo service with all those guys with the funny ear plugs. Let Barry drive his own car, something popular with treehuggers like a Prius. While your at it, also axe the meal service at big house. If Michelle and the kids want to be fed, why can't they just nip down to McDonalds like everyone else.
Come on, let's see responsible government spending.

Bush took 900 days off in his wasted 8 years in office' that has got to be a Guinness World record. Anyone beat that?
Ok, he screwed us and we should have learned from that, speak up now. I am tired of hearing this politicians talking about capping salaries, but not capping their own, even raising it, procuring what nots for their offices, hiring ridiculous amounts of staff, chefs maids on tax dime. Why use the Bush scenario and say its ok now because Bush did it so leave it alone?

Obama tested the media's loyalty to him with the Scare Force One low over Manhattan incident and they signaled that they are prepared to go to any length to defend his actions. I reckon he will spend millions in taxpayer dollars on weekend getaways before his first term is up.

Indeed, don't they all. Just the prez popping down to the local Quicki Mart for some beer is a major security undertaking. They all seem to love flying around in choppers as well. Pretty bucks all round.
Then again, just because politicians sometimes choke on their caviar doesn't mean that they are out of touch with the common man. You know, the folks you see down on the corner rummaging through dumpsters.

500k per year is a very small income to run the country. Think about how much he could have earned on Wall Street. And here they are grumbling about a trip the man took to New York in aid of promoting greater closeness and romance with your partner. Its all a storm in a teacup. The Republicans are just looking for a cause. The man is cool and deserving of the job. Its the return of intellectualism to politics which for at least the last 8 years had been missing from the office of the Presidency.

500k per year is a very small income to run the country." well, start adding it up: health care for the whole family, private schooling, security details, speeches, etc... Yes, it seems small, but its not private funds paying for it. now take his salary, multiply it by how many congress and senators we have that are paid out of fed funds, not local, add all their trips, furnishings, getaways, flying their families...
The Republicans are just looking for a cause" maybe they are, but I have been saying long before we all even knew Obama.
Oh, and if anyone think the current salary is small, again I ask, who told you to ask for the job?

Funny how the liberal elites, who pontificate about wealth distribution and the plight of the poor, would never for a second ever consider giving up their high flying life styles. It's really the hypocrisy that is so unpalatable. BTW Is Al Gore still flying around in that private Lear?

"The man is cool"
Well, that's good enough for me! Hey, you're either with him, or you need to see another picture of this adorable puppy and his adorable family!

Equally ironic and hypocritical is supposed "fiscal conversatives" like Ronald Regan using Air Force to fly to California to chop wood. Is it any wonder that all recent presidents(excluding Clinton) have each doubled the National debt.

Pres. Obama could successfully navigate time travel and certain elements will gripe.
Obama Derangement Syndrome has been in full swing ever since he won the nomination.

Well, at least he's our current president. It's the libs continued Bush Derangement Syndrome that's worrisome.

Haha, talk about inequality. Its was Ragan's festering trickle down economic brew that spoke directly to the inequalities inherent in the conservatives's economic policies. The fools notion that rich people will eventually allow dispersion of their well through the carefully propagated farcical trickle down system is a fools game. It just does not happen! The end result will always be the creation of an army of working poor unable to afford the basics in life. It is for those same reasons why the minimum wage under the conservatives have quantitatively remain the same, and the average worker no matter how hard they try remain locked in a spiral of poverty while the guy at the top grows ever richer. Now they have the nerve to even talk about the president's travel plan. It seems to me if we are going to discuss fairness then those conservative policies and its effects should assume preeminence over a trip to New York. How do they expect the President to get there, take the Bus and sit in the back.
