Well, I guess one out of a hundred people in southern Sudan will have to move north.

I still doubt that Omar Al-Bashid will let the Southern infidels and their oil ressources seced like that. Let's see what he has up his sleeve.

South Sudan, the newest nation of world, begins. They north and south are already, very different in leadership ways.

The Vote is an agreement between north and south. So let the north and south, agree to agree, on formation of 2 countries, for peace, mutual excellence and mutual prosperity of both.

@Junnama Apparently, they're going with "South Sudan". Not very exciting but I suppose it does the job.

Be creative. How often do you get to rename your country.

Go for "New South Bronx" and you have a readymade national anthem from Boogie Down Productions. Maybe more tourism too.

All kidding aside, I hope this works out for the Sudanese people. Ever watched the documentaries about the "Lost Boys" stuck in refugee camps in neighboring countries for years or decades? Miserable places but scenes of perseverence too.

I guess that works but a word of advice for the next country; try thinking outside of the box. It's almost as unoriginal as naming yourself after a parent that beat the living hell out of you until there was no other choice but to go to a different country. At least their capital sounds alright.
