This means that all living creatures within that area will get a lot more radiation than those living in Tokyo. Ozone is very important.

Since people aren't buying into the global warming hysteria anymore, guess that means its time to bring back the ozone scare.
The sad thing about this is, that science has become so politicized that if a problem really occurs, theres no way we would really be able to tell. This politicizing of scientific theory needs to stop.

My understanding was that the elimination of CFC use way back when was supposed to have allowed the ozone to regenerate as the amount of CFCs were reduced and, eventually, eliminated. I guess that hasn't come true. Anybody know why?

Yeah, people have quit buying into the global warming hysteria, so the 'scientists' are getting desperate for a new scare to drum up funding.
