And what a lovely job they've done so far. Isn't the military, with all of their sympathy for the terrorists, the main problem with terrorism in the country?

Pakistan take all aid money from USA,remember they spent USD 1000 billion for missions ,in Middle east, pakistan and afghanistan since 2001.
Another 1000 billion USD could be spent, for economic development in Middle east, pakistan and afghanistan,to bring peace ,by presidents.

This is sad. Even if Pakistan accepted it, it would still be like pouring money down a tube. I remember watching a program about international corruption. And one of the government leaders (who just happened to be Arab) was rolling in financial aid said, "Why are you westerners nagging us about corruption? Who are you to judge me?"
The answer to this is what is happening to Pakistan and Afghanistan. No one can expect to build anything good from a place over-run with corrupt officials. When the time comes for them to walk the walk to save their society, they have nothing but a wet paper saftey net.

If Pakistan's military is not satisfied with $7.5bil US aid (for five years) it should switch the partner and get better aid offer from China or stop fighting with India, take a bitter pill and beg for reunion.

We've given Pakistan so much money and gotten so little in return. We're fighting a war that crosses borders and we can't effectively fight if we can't move from one side to the other.
I'm tired of war. I'm tired of this country just paying out $Billions and getting nothing in return. Then the Marines and Soldiers get up day after day, year after year and are still where we were 7 years ago.
It's about time we bring our troops home. < :-)

"President Asif Ali Zardari has the final say on whether to accept the money"
Too bad the American people don't have the final say on whether to offer the money.

Nothing in return? Pakistan has lost as many soldiers as the US has in iraq in terms of fighting this war, Pakistan has captured or killed more AQ fighters then all other nations including the US. Not to mention they have supplied us with the intelligence that has lead to the capturing or death of several high level taliban leaders or fighters. So how can you say we are not getting anything in return, they have done more then the US has in this war against AQ/Taliban.
