Punishing Israel, probably Israel will punish Netanyahu by kicking him out, next elections.

Meanwhile his adminisration mandate is alive,so he can do what he likes. This is Israel democratic Knesset systems.

The title sounds one-sided. Shouldn't the Palestinians be urging that their own leaders be punished too?

Unsurprisingly, they clamour that Israel be punished for "alleged" crimes, while the 12,000 (and counting) Hamas rockets onto Israel that triggered the Gaza incursion were not alleged but very real. As is the abduction of Galid Shalit, who is still held as hostage by Hamas.

The Goldstone report concluded that Israel used disproportionate force, deliberately targeted civilians, used Palestinians as human shields, and destroyed civilian infrastructure during its incursion into Gaza to root out Palestinian rocket squads.

Investigator: So you're saying that Israel targeted these innocent people?

    Hamas: Yes.

    Investigator: You're sure?

Hamas: Of course we're sure. We told them to wait next to that missile launcher, so we're certain they were killed.

Investigator: And you're also saying that Israel blew up this school?

Hamas: Again, yes. We're certain they blew it up because that's where we house our rockets. Here's a picture of us setting them up.

Investigator: But what about this burned out building...? It looks purely military to me.

Hamas: Yeah, we kind of screwed up on that one. We'll do better next time.
