“We are the minority party,” Palin said. “Let us resolve not to be the negative party.”
Not bad, not bad... now let's see you actually practice what you preach! If you can do that, you'll move up a bit in my books.
"Six in 10 Americans said Palin is not qualified to become president, according to exit polls of voters in last week’s election."
There you go. Proof, without a doubt, that the MAJORITY of Americans feel Palin is unfit, bottom line. Good job, America.

SezWho2: "Not that she has a plan of her own."
She's waiting for god to leave the door open for her to clues as to what to do... or something like that. She can't decide anything for herself.

It is now widely known that several Republican Governors are embarrassed by Pallin's antics.
Please give Palin more media exposure! Palin is the Democrats biggest asset. Her mouth opens and nonsense falls out from ever corner of her mouth and both sides of her face.

Just remember what an arch conservative told us recently on JT. Intelligence is dumb. And dumb is smart. That is why he thinks Obama is dumb and Palin is smart.

Keep Democrats in check. Republicans can be in plaids and stripes.

It's bad when even I'm starting to feel embarassed for the Republican plight.
Gag the silly woman for pete's sake.

Oh please go away Palin. I could take but 2 minutes of her interview on CNN yesterday before barfing and changing the channel to BBC world. The world would not tolerate Palin at all.
Putin would throw her out of the Kremlin after ten minutes. Sarkozy would just curse, get up, and leave the room. Gordon Brown would frown and pout. Ahmadinejad would build some nukes. John Key would get a free trade deal. Kevin Rudd would replace himself with Chopper Reid for the meeting. Osama would come out of hiding.
The only world leader who she can get along with is nantonaku Aso.

sailwind,
The problem with waiting for someone on the left to say that is that anyone who speaks up to say so automatically puts himself into that silly category.
The comment in question was out of line. Not even the Mafia goes after family without good reason. But why didn't you just say so?

Pepople like Sarge and his fellow righteous right jokers have given Palin a voice that she should never have had. Resulting in the next female putting her name forward having to be compared with that gun loving, racist hillbilly. May the next woman have met the candidate or her running mate more than just TWICE before being chosen.

Agreed..Posting she raised a slut and lefties to post some sort of decry on that is just plain silly. I agree 100 percent.

Palin raised lefties? Geez, man... the last couple of days a whole lot of your posts aren't making any sense. C'mon, guy! Clean it up and post in English! If someone posted 'she raised a slut', then I believe that is out of line. I'm sure they were probably poking fun at Palin's hypocrisy over her political beliefs and the way she treats her family, but perhaps they were just trying to be insulting.

Taka,
I think you might enjoy this: a letter in response to the Republican Governor of your state weighing in on why his party lost the election:
I watched Pawlenty and Sanford talk on the News-Hour tonight. The amount of rationalization and verbal gymnastics they engaged in in order to avoid actually taking responsibility for their own failure was amazing.
Pawlenty said, several times, that they couldn't have won this year because of the 'anti-incumbency headwinds' they were facing. Gee, Governor, could those headwinds have been self-created? Or they just originate on their own?
Isn't denial one of the twelve stages of grief? Is that what we're watching now; a party deeply in denial of their own failure?

The problem with proposing "[Republican] Governors keep [National] Democrats in check" is that power flows in the opposite direction. When GWB lobbied for his tax cut, for example, that meant states would get less since state taxes are calculated according to what residents owe Uncle Sam.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has recently proposed raising the sales tax in California. In the absence of such a step, there's no way to balance the budget (and states are not in a position to run deficits on the magnitude of the federal government). I would suspect other state governments are in the same straits.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
romulus3: "The world would not tolerate Palin at all."
The world wouldn't have a choice.
Putin would throw her out of the Kremlin."
If he could, which he couldn't.
"Sarkozy would just curse"
Nah, he would smilig broadly.
"Ahmadinejad would build some nukes."
No, he would have a jihad and die.
"Osama would come out of hiding"
And then we would capture or kill him.

Indeed.
Republicans need to make sure that the Democrats keep neo-con republican values at the forefront.
The GOP needs to make sure the Democrats engage in cronyism, unchecked wasteful spending, no-bid govt. contracts given to party members and they had better invade at least one country for no reason whatsoever.

It would appear that you have not "passed on that." It does look like you failed to meet sailwind's timetable. I think I will take a pass on sailwind as the moral arbitrator; completely, given his past record. I would think however that if you are going to tell people to condemn comments that you would have a history of doing so yourself. All those vile comments by conservatives in the past and a litany of vitriolic assertions by them that elicited no condemnation. There will always be the future to meet the level of principles which has now been advocated to in writing.
I also find it objectionable to say such a thing about Palin's daughter. Not only do I agree that there is no male counterpart as a slur but I don't think she would qualify for such a term. I would rarely perceive a girl or woman's behavior meeting that standard. At the point in which I would I would equally say that a male's conquests are just as troublesome. In any event I would consider it pathological or at least borderline at any level beyond what I find unacceptable; be it a male or female. Once it has reached a pathological level they need to seek help.
I wonder if Larry Liston's district includes South Park.

As far as I can tell, besides regime change in Iraq it appears that almost anything about Sarah Palin is what generates the most communication on this site.
That doesn't bode well for Democrats...

How? last I knew the governers didn't have a vote in either the senate or the house. Are they going to pitch a hissy fit?

What can be said about that? People like to argue about politics. Especially people who make themselves look silly in politics.
