I find this amusing. McCain is bringing in Palin and other big name Republicans to help him get re-elected. Now admittedly McCain is facing a bruising primary fight. A lot of conservatives in the state are unhappy with McCain over his stances on a lot of issues. Among other things for example, despite the climategate scandal, he still supports the global warming agenda. Even still I find it amazing that he is expending so much capital to try to get himself re-elected. I guess he realizes how unpopular he is with conservatives, and at the same time how much he needs them if he wants to keep his seat.

Kiss and makeup? Have nothing against John McCain, however, are things really so bad that he has to again call on Sarah Palin?

Hahaha... the woman who destroyed his chances for becoming president is now his lifeboat for staying in the Senate? The guy is clearly suicidal.

It's like deciding you'll try to survive the sinking ship by grabbing on to the anchor and hoping it floats.

This woman must be driving Democrats crazy. She is on Fox News - - which apparently has 5 times the number of viewers America's three public networks draw - - she has a bestseller out, her decision to leave the office she was elected to has not hurt her a bit, and she appears to be a king-maker of sorts on the national political scene.

I thought ol' man McCain would be a shoo-in in Arizona.

He's only setting himself up for another crash landing by bringing in Palin.

McCain's bringing in Katie Couric? ;)

This is quite frankly nonsense. Palin is popular. McCain was in trouble with conservatives when running for President. They quite frankly didn't trust him. When he selected Palin, a lot of women and conservatives decided to support him, in spite of their reservations about him. She will help him in Arizona. I don't think he really needs to bring out the big guns, but then I haven't heard yet whether or not Heyworth has decided to run against him. If he does, then what was shaping up to be a bruising primary fight will become a blood bath. And he will need all the help he can get.

Then again, he lost a lot of independents in the process.

Haha ha ha...well, my many friends,it's just TOO funny that old man McCain would think that palin, who was the worst vice president candidate EVER,could act as a lifeboat for his staying in the Senate.

Anyways, McCain doesn't stand a chance.Obama is more popular than ever.Hence, the economy IS picking up and health care WILL soon be available to the 70 million who don't have it and who the republicans want to see die immediately.Disgusting!

The sailboat is just dead in the water. Picking palin is like unfurling the sail and thinking the wind will make your boat move or something.Clearly, the guy is suicidal.

Wow, I don't think I've read a more nonsensical, idiotic rant in awhile. This article is about Palin is coming to Arizona to raise money and campaign for McCain in his primary campaign for Senate in 2010. Its got nothing to do with Obama. Nothing to do with the Presidency. And Obams popularity has nothing to do with the economy, nor the defeat of Health Care. And where did you get your numbers from anyway? 70 Million Americans aren't uninsured. Finally, the idea that Republicans somehow want the uninsured to Die, is quite frankly, extremely offensive. I was going to refer to your intelligence here after rereading your post again, but decided your post speaks more eloquently on that subject then I ever could.

Getting back to the point of this article. McCain is not worried about facing a Dem in his Senate race. If he passes the primaries, he is a lock, particularly this year with the Dems doing their best to piss off everyone. No, he is most worried that Hayworth will decide to run against him. Last I heard, he was already running ads against him. Even though Hayworth hasn't decided whether or not he's going to run. Thats why he's bringing in Palin, and why my Dad got a promotion call from Scott Brown yesterday. Personally I think its way too early to bring the big guns in, when the man hasn't even decided whether or not he's going to challenge McCain in the primary, but I guess McCain isn't taking any chances.

Being originally from Arizona, I'd much rather have JD run for Governor. Arizona hasn't had a good Governor since Symington. The one good thing about Obama getting elected President, is that he tapped Napolitano for Homeland Security.

Ahhhh, at last some real belly-laughs once again from a winning team.

Old man McCain really must have Alzheimer's.

You seem to be forgetting Joe Biden. And Walter Mondale. And Spiro Agnew. Want me to go on? By the way, can you tell the difference between Sarah Palin and Tina Fey? I can post some quotes, and you can tell me who said what.

Obama is more popular than ever.

Which is why the last three candidates he's campaigned for have lost. And why his approval rating has plummeted from 70% to the low 40's. All because he's more popular than ever?

Hence, the economy IS picking up

What economy are you looking at? Certainly not the one I'm living in.

and health care WILL soon be available to the 70 million who don't have it

It's already available. I found my policy in less than 10 minutes, I was approved the next day, and it costs me less than $100/month. Where's the crisis?

and who the republicans want to see die immediately.

    Proof?

Frankly, if Hayworth is to the right of McCain politically, I'd rather have him. I'm tired of worrying if McCain will vote with his pals Specter and Snowe or for the people who elected him.

Heheheh, would Palin have McCain's opponents on her show? Ha!

"palin, who was the worst vice president(ial) candidate EVER"

That would be Al Gore, who was also the worst presidential candidate EVER.

"Old man McCain really must have Alzheimer's"

He really doesn't. You still don't get it. Palin is popular.

"He really doesn't. You still don't get it. Palin is popular."

Yeah she's a pin up for middle-aged men fantasizing about her and her radical right-wing views I'll grant.

As far as I can see Palin is largely responsible for putting your nemesis in office.

    Heh, and that's quite amusing.

    McCain: "She energized our nation"

    That she did!

"Yeah she's a pin-up for middle-aged men fantasizing about her"

Does that mean you won't call me "young man" any more?

"As far as I can see Palin s responsible for putting your nemisis in office"

But Palin energized McCain's campaign. Obama won because the economy was tanking and it was popular to vote for an African-American. I guess you can't see very far.

    "But Palin energized McCain's campaign."

You got that right! She scared the bejebus out of the moderates enough for them to go out and vote to make sure she didn't shriek her way into the seconh highest office!

    Madverts: "moderates"

Are those the people who can't make up their minds what they believe in?

Person in elevator closest to the button panel: "Which floor?"

Moderate: "Well, which floor are you going to?"

  • 0

    lostrune2

    Sarge,

Don't knock the "moderates." They just elected Sen. Brown into office - there are only 12% registered Republicans in Massachusetts.

Anyways, Palin should outdo Oprah by inviting McCain's opponents for a chat in her TV show.

Not true. Moderates did not elect Brown, Independants did. Some may be liberal, others moderate, others conservative, but it wasn't moderates that elected him.

Just heard today that McCain is going to need Brown and Palins support after all. Hayworth just announced his bid for the Senate. Heh, while I'd have liked to see him run for Govornor, I for one am looking forward to casting my ballot for Hayworth, and against McCain. A bunch of people I know are likewise planning to vote against McCain as well. Going up against Hayworth, he is going to need all the help he can get.

    Molenir,

    Most independents are moderates.
