    dammit

In her request to take over the children’s estate, Jackson’s mother listed its value as “unknown.”

They'll be lucky. He surely owed so much money his estate will never cover it. The mother of the older 2 kids had better prepare to be sued for maintenance payments if she's not interested in caring for them.

His creditors should never have made him all those allowances over all those years. He was on the verge of bankruptcy for ages. If they'd repossessed Neverland or whatever he called it years ago maybe he'd have been better able to bounce back (being younger, fitter, not yet having kids when he was first in debt, and his face not yet being so mangled.) Maybe he'd have been able to sort out his life to the point that his kids (if he'd had them) wouldn't potentially have to shoulder the problems caused by his debt.

Maybe. But letting him get away with owing them millions just because theoretically he was rich was unbelievably stupid, and I hope his creditors go bust because of it. It would surely serve them right for being so stupid in the first place.

There may be a lot of debt, but there will be a lot of money put aside to care for these kids and the person or people who control the kids gets the money.

So get custody quick and keep it. < :-)

I read yesterday that Debbie Rowe admitted MJ wasn't the father of his eldest 2 children - that the sperm came from an unidentified male.

The same could well have happened for the 3rd child too. The mother of the third was an unidentified surrogate mother.

IF this is accurate, it means MJ isn't the father of any of his children, and MJ's mother has little if any rights to custody over at least the older two kids. I also read Debbie Rowe isn't interested in taking custody.

Poor MJ, now the hungry lions will eat his estate and those kids will be forced to sing on the street corner to make any money.

MJ, may have been nearly penniless but he is worth more dead than alive. Everyone knows it and that is wgy everyone is making a run to take control....

Funny how the Father comes out and says that he is founding a record company. I wonder where the money will come from to start that company up? I also wonder who will be the first singers to make an album?LOL

Poor MJ, he is getting it hard after he is cold.....LOL

Keep Joe Jackson away from the kids! Any kids for that matter.

Keep Joe Jackson away from the kids! Any kids for that matter." Actually, I agree. While we all wondered about MJ's behaviour all these years, I kind of kept Joe to be responsible for much of MJ's strange actions. I can see it now, he headlines them as MJ's kids and collects. How did MJ ever go to school?

Just a thought, but could Michael have decided, "To hell with this. I'm done," and administered a lethal dose of pain killers to himself?

Let the bloodbath begin. First you have had all these entertainment industry types coming out and wringing their hands over MJs death (despite the fact that in life these same people treated him leper because of his kiddy fiddling history).

Now you have the family vultures circling around his carcass (sorry for the vivid description), with none the least bit interested in the welfare of the kids.

Call me cynical, but the whole charade makes me want to vomit.

According to some articles, the 3 kids are saying they want to be with their "grandma"... They should be with who they want to be with.

    Skip,

Yeah, for as strange as Michael had been, I attribute a large part of it to the excesses of Joe Jackson. None of the kids really have anything stellar to say about being raised under his roof, and in his last days, I'm certain Michael was still haunted by the taunts and impossibles standards Joe held him and his siblings to. Being 6 and having to face both the pressures of instant stardom as well as constant verbal abuse from a controlling father can't be too healthy for the psyche.

LFR, Not to mention the responsibility he had. Had it not been for MJ, the Jackson Five would never have been. that is a lot to ask of a kid. I just did a search fro trivial reasons in childhood friends of MJ and nothing really came up. Who did he play with as kid?

Neverland was a Blue State. No question there.

    Skip,

Honestly, I doubt very sincerely he had a real childhood. You nailed it on the head with the responsibility thing. That's a lot to put on a kid's shoulders at that young age.
