The good thing is that the more the liberals talk about the ad the more it reinforces what Mr. McCain was trying to get across.

It reminds me of companies that create ads that purposly are controversial and then get tons of free air time as they are reported.

Paris shows up for her ad in a skimpy swimsuit -- reinforcing the "bimbo" image Mr. McCain's ad tries to pin on Obama -- and at the same time Paris gets tons of free airtime since she is in the skimpy suit and fills the ad with her typical form of communication.

Apparently, the leftists don't mind that psychologically this ad will imprint in the minds of American voters as will the image of Paris in her lawnchair. The more they talk about it the more it will spread into the public psychie.

There's more than meets the eye here.

Not sure why the family is so upset - there has been a video of her having sex, the world watched in amusement as she endured the worst hours of her life by being incarcerated and she starred in a TV series depicting two bubble heads blundering their way through life.

If anything they should be flattered that the McCain recognized her status as a near cultural icon. It is, after all, an image she carefully crafted.

"she starred in a TV series depicting two bubble heads blundering their way through life."

    Depicting?

    Heh, she is a bubble-head.

Like obama, she was actually did a pretty good at stringing together long sentences with big words and acting like she understood what she said.

Let's hope Sen. Obama can "play" better at president than the current waster, eh, ramen?

  • Taka313 at 09:18 PM JST - 7th August

Let me get this straight... McCain insults one of his campaign donators and their daughter. Their "bimbo" daughter makes a bimbo commercial in which she does a better job of spelling out an energy plan than Sen. McCain, while mocking him...while dressed like a bimbo?

Could someone explain to me the part where this is bad for Sen. Obama?

Between this, the tire gauge thing that exploded in his face causing him to reverse gears and offering up his wife for a biker beauty pageant (working that family values vote), I'd say this hasn't really been a red letter week for the McCain camp.

She then discusses energy policy, and suggests a hybrid of McCain’s offshore oil drilling plan and Obama’s incentives for new energy technology.

I'd tell Obama to give Paris's hybrid idea a pass but hey if he wants to listen to her ideas what the heck.

Mr. McCain ought to invite Paris to one of his town hall meetings for a debate on her energy plan since Sen. "anytime, anywhere" continues to decline the offer.

Ha Ha!!! I saw an interview with the two guys who put this video together. Paris didn't use a cue card at all. And Paris looked great.

Not all old and wrinkly. I'd be concerned after Ronald Reagan, that John McCain doesn't have the youthfulness to do the job either. < :-)

"she does a better job of spelling out an energy plan than Sen. McCain"

I don't know about that, but she definitely does a better job of spelling out an energy plan than Sen. Obama's energy girl!

Easy, tak. It hurts Obama because anyone who watches Paris Hilton's vid has to admit that she appears every bit as qualified as Obama to be the Democrat nominee.

You can disagree, but you know what it would mean -

you must be some kind of misogynist.
