    Its a problem, and should be properly investigated. However, RIF chips in passports is a more serious concern. The older RIF chips in American passports can be read by anyone within 10 meters and even the new ones rolling out soon with PIN numbers and build in shielding have serious security problems that are not being addressed.

    Of course it's more widespread than thought. Stuff like this is like finding a cockroach. For every 1 you see, there are 100 you don't.
