If you (and your kids, and grandkids) loved the ruinously expensive failure that was actually called a stimulus bill you'll love what the Democrat Party is going to do the range of market choices you have had until now when deciding how to protect the single most important thing you have:your health.

Whatever private health care plan you've had will be gone in 5-10 years, and you'll be on the government plan, lol.

tanglewood: Even all the chicken-little Republicans who think the sky is falling or the Red Menace is invading will be covered... and possibly even at the mental institutions they ought to check into.

Being covered is a good thing, not bad... you'll see. But try not to feel so intimidated; that does no one good at all.

See, you are prejudiced. Even those drug addicts, smokers, drinkers, disgustingly fat out of shape types who should have been taking care of themselves will be covered too. Maybe next we should get a national health care for pets too.

Yeah, let them all die. They deserve it, don't they. Remember that hamburger you had last week? Does that mean you go on that list too? Don't let anyone ever accuse Americans of giving a damn about anyone but themselves.

What utter rubbish. We have government health-care here. The private companies are doing very well. They offer shorter waiting lists, choice of hospital and other things the government don't. As a result of offering good services, they get the customers. It's call business. If they can't compete with a basic community safety net, then perhaps they don't deserve to be in business.

Oh, sure, the rich of course, will keep some of the private companies afloat, but the vast majority will be shifted to the cheap government-run health care. We'll see in 5-10 years, won't we? Assuming Obama and the Democrats stay in power after the next elections.

Sigh. The ability of some to base their views on pure speculation over actual examples of outcomes elsewhere astounds me sometimes. Where does this sheep mentality come from? If the right person on TV or radio says something with the right amount of 'outrage', will everyone believe it, despite there being evidence and examples against it? Apparently so.

Props to Obama, he understands what loyalty is. The SEIU spent $85 million to help him get elected. With the passage of this bill there will be millions of new dues-paying members because many medical practitioners, who were making too much money anyways, will be forced to become medical civil servants and become unionized. Its brilliant. The SEIU will be able gain needed cash for underfunded pension funds.

Yeah? What percentage of the citizens of this country have the money for the private health care?

"Where does this sheep mentality come from?"

Sheep mentality would be accepting Obama Care without complaint.
