As long as there are movies, Paul Newman will be remembered as one of the great actors as well as a great humanitarian.

Paul Newman's performance in the "The Verdict" was second to none. Should have won the Acadamy Award that year for best actor.

He was great in "The Verdict" and did not win the Best Actor Oscar for that year only because he was up against Ben Kingsley in "Gandhi". We'll always have Butch Cassidy and Newman's Own salad dressing. Truly a legend in his own time.

Usually when a celeb dies, I feel a bit sad, but for Paul Newman ,I felt deeply sadden and teared up. He was an awesome actor and from his humanitarian works , a great human being, who was loved and adored by millions.

Anyone waiting to hear any thing bad said about him...well it is gonna be a long wait.

RIP Paul, you were a true gem and I think the last Hollywood legend

Another accomplishment for him was making the Nixon enemies list. He was fiercely liberal and a vocal critic of the failed war in vietnam.

He was perfect in his role in Cool Hand Luke.

I want to see "The Verdict". Had he been a real life lawyer, he would have been disbarred, I read.

    Let's not forget "Slapshot." http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=4zM6Na3cZz8

Sad to hear. But what a legacy. Now that I think about the movies in which he stars, there`s not a dud amongst them.

A truly great person. Nixon hated him. Farewell Paul.
