They slaughtered this human being like a pig in the name of Allah. It boggles the mind how the world cannot unite (yes this includes you left wingers and moderate muslems) to wipe out this scurge. It goes to show that by killing a citizen of Poland, the Taliban does not need an excuse to kill. They simply carry out these senseless acts driven by unadulterated hatred of non muslems. The sooner people realize that terrorist kill indiscriminantly the sooner nations can come together to defeat them. But I'm sure this is all George Bush's fault somehow.

VOR: "It boggles the mind how the world cannot unite (yes this includes you left wingers and moderate muslems) to wipe out this scurge."

Are you talking about wiping out the Taliban, or are you suggesting wiping out Islam? There's a HUGE difference, and I think that, Taliban aside, everyone is united in the former. Wiping out Islam because of a very few bad apples? the only people united on THAT front are ignorant bigots who know not how hypocritical they are being. I mean, come on, can you not see it? 'We must wipe out this scourge of Islam!' Sounds a lot like the English-English dictionary definition of a jihad, to me, minus the actual belief in Islam by those who want to eliminate it.

"The sooner people realize that terrorist kill indiscriminantly the sooner nations can come together to defeat them"

Again, it needs to be clarified WHO are the terrorists of which you speak. One problem with uniting people on this issue is the broad brush you have used in painting 'terrorists'.

"But I'm sure this is all George Bush's fault somehow."

No, not quite, although to be sure the broadness of the term 'terrorist' and 'evil', as well as what constitutes 'democracy' and makes Pakistan an 'ally', etc., have been much complicated by bush's cowboy politics and disgusting use of language. As such you cannot actually define what a terrorist is without somehow including elements you don't want to include.

Again, though, first and foremost who is it you believe must be 'wiped out'?

As for Pakistan, I agree wholeheartedly that they have to make more effort to eradicate radical elements in their midst that are the cause of much of the terrorism both at home and in surrounding areas; India in particular. They need to be pressured to extradite both the people involved in this and with the Mumbai massacre, and again to reign in suspected militants. If there is indeed government involvement, that too must be eliminated, and if they refuse relations with Pakistan have to be reviewed. Pakistan has never truly been an 'ally' in the "war on terror" (again, a very broad and vaguely worded phrase which is now thankfully dying out), and that's really starting to come around and bite a few nations in the behind.

I want the people who did this caught and rightfully tried for what the did, as much as anyone else. Blaming it on Islam, however, is simply a way of misdirecting your anger over things in general and looking for the most convenient "enemy" to do rail against.
