i don't see how iran can continue to call itself an islamic republic when denies its people the practice traditional islamic rites. the actions of the revolutionary guard are those of a military dictatorship led by khamenei and ahmadinejad trying to hold on to its current power and influence i.e. the ability to make money.

In many ways, change already seems to be here for Iran. Hopefully at some point, it means change for the better.
