Wonder if the government has provided shelter for the residents of the Apartment blocks? They do not look very rich to me.

Yuri, this guy was living in a lower income, mostly Hispanic and Black part of town. So, yes, you are right, they must not be very rich and do hope they are getting some kind of help, shelter etc..because they are all victims of this idiot fool criminal killer psycho basket case.

These are old military housings in Backley Air Force Base that are now converted to low income households.

Aurora is not that bad compared to other low income ommunities here in US because Aurora, Denver, Colorado Springs, Lakewood, Highland Ranch, Littleton,Ft. Collins, and Boulder are the best 50 school districts among 50 states. We take a pride in higher education, environment and quality of life. Right next to Aurora, there is a million dollar neighborhood Cherry Creek many millionaire want to live surrounded by the best hospital in US-Jewish Hospital and many cultural centers and rich shopping malls. Many major corporations are moving here because of these reasons. We will make sure we wll keep this state as a better place to live for everyone.

I need to add that Aurora is one of the top 10 most safetest cities in US among population over 250,000.

Many professionals want to move here to enjoy outdoors. This state is filled with forward thinkers, many talents, quality of life,and healthy thinnest state among 50 states. I am not over stating that people call this state as a Swiss in USA until last week Friday night.

Didn't he in fact warn the police about his apartment? From the abcnews:

He also warned police that he had booby-trapped his apartment leading officers to evacuate the Aurora apartment building.

Had he not warned them, the police may very well have just barged in, SWAT-style, and become casualties.

He warned the police after he was arrested, but he planned it so that the police would be called to his apartment in the first place by having his stereo turn on at a certain time (volume all the way up) at night so neighbors would call them for him disturbing the peace. When the police would have needed the door to be opened or have a manager come open the door the explosion would have happened causing the law enforcement to call in emergency and more law enforcement trying to tie them up at his apartment while he was commiting his massacre at the theater making causing them more time to get to him in the first place.

Thankfully it didn't work at all and nobody called the police at the time for the loud stereo before he started shooting.
