The biggest fear is that Ebola reaches either India or China, countries with very high population densities and poor sanitation systems. We're talking the potential of the disease spreading on a truly frightening scale if that happens.

And does anyone believe that Japanese government would announce that a person from that area of the world has come back to Japan and has symptoms?

@kitzrow, it will be hard to keep a lid on it when you have dozens of medical workers assigned to one patient. Someone is bound to alert the media.

The main quarantine facility is in Yokohama according to NHK.

I believe they would, but if they are ready to take on the disease is an entirely different story.
