    ...and the Pope's a Catholic. What's new?

I wish they'd send the bill for proving what everyone already knew to Fayed, who should be rich enough to cover it

The carry-on after the death of Diana was one of the reasons I chose to come to Japan.

A great deal of the poignancy surrounding Diana Spencer's death was connected with the fact that most Birtish citizens (subjects would be more precise) understood that England itself, like their favorite princess, was also a goner.

The maudlin hysteria and the prolonged simpering following Diana's death/murder/manslaughter gave many a clueless, repressed Brit out there the opportunity to realize this, at least at an emotional level.

redacted, what on earth are you talking about? A popular person was widely mourned. End of story.

    Yours, "Birtish" citizen

Well only a complete arse would have believed in a conspiracy. Al Fayed sent his son off with a drunken driver, in effect ordering his death. He can't accept that,or live with it, so he carries on like a madman. In many countries he would have disappeared for such ridiculous accusations, but in the UK he had his day in court at the expense of the taxpayer. I guess that's what separates the civilised countries from the others.
