Snakes in the Indian Office? Sounds like the sequel to Snakes on a Plane.

I have a feeling if that happened in America it'd be classed as a terrorist attack, and he'd be shot dead on the spot if not jailed for years..
What's gonna make that country a happy place again anyway? How's it gonna turn around? Something big has got to happen soon,

Side note this doesn't even say if the guy was arrested but I doubt he was, people can still get angry and do angey shit in some countries. I want to see a whole nation get angry and do some angry shit.. Make that riot in England look like a picnic but not looting and silly stuff just marching and shouting in numbers unimaginable

I like his reasoning: “I am a conservationist and have been seeking the government’s help. Having waited patiently for so long, I had no option but to leave all my snakes in this office.”

How can you jail a professional snake-charmer who has no place to put his pets ... except in the office that stands in his way from taking good care of them?

The man behind this is basically a snake wrangler who makes a living capturing snakes that are in people's homes. He is well respected and many people are thankful to him. He wanted the land as a place to put the snakes.

What I heard is that the deal had been cleared, but local officials were holding it up, I heard they were doing it to get a bribe.

Angry that he had no place for the snakes, he dumped them in the tax office. I would say just desserts if his claims are true, and I bet they are, considering his history.

He needs a "plot of land" to keep his snakes? What does he do - take them jogging?

    "snake charmer"

    What a job.

sam - What's stoppin' ya? A few guards? Go for it!

It's an interesting way to gain attention for his plight. But I think it would be lost on the US congress. Washington DC is one of the biggest snake pits going.

Does he charm snakes that aren't from India?

@Serrano: "sam - What's stoppin' ya? A few guards? Go for it!"

That and my intense fear of snakes!

    Winner!

I wonder, were the tax office workers purposely delaying the release because they can't decide what kind of tax he needs to pay them?

Hmmm.. I would hope and pray that someone who makes a living out of snakes would have love and respect for them.

This man should have known that when released in such a space they would be kicked, trodden on and possibly killed by panicked officials and police.

The possibility does not seem to have bothered him. Cruel cold-hearted bastard.

For this reason I hope he gets whatever they throw at him.

Nandakanda, you are putting yourself on a real high platform, judging some poor dude in a very very POOR country that goes around catching snakes for a living and you care more about those stupid snakes?? Than the life of this poor Indian, HUMAN BEING? You need to get your priorities correct, snakes in INDIA can KILL YOU, this guy released a few COBRAS, I have friends from INDIA, they do not mess around with COBRAS, etc..So please do not feel so sorry for the poor little POISONOUS snakes, and try and put your self not in the cobras shoes, but say in this poor, dirty hungry soul that is just trying to make an honest living.
