Guilty until proven innocent I guess. The new norm.

Where there's smoke there tends to be fire, and there's a whole lotta smoke around Cosby.

Sad, I enjoyed his work when growing up. Too bad so many enabled his sexual assaults for decades.

Bill, tell me it ain't so! One or two complaints can be dismissed as gold diggers but this has snowballed and thete has to be some substance to twenty complaints

'Some in the audience gave loud whoops but the reception was subdued compared to the standing ovation at his last stage performance in Florida.'

Interesting, according to this BBC article he also received a standing ovation in Canada:

So whose truth is true?

The fact that certain people would waste their time going out to heckle Cosby is troubling. Do these same people go out and heckle every murderer that is released? I doubt it.

With so many women it's hard to believe they are all lying. And with so many women it's hard to believe that none of them went to the police.

So I just sit on the fence.

SuperLib: I too am on the fence, however, I believe that several of the women (or at least one) did go to the police and/or other people for help but it fell on deaf ears mainly due to the fame and persona of Bill Cosby.

Why does the number of accusations equate with 'substance'? That's just a fallacy. There are plenty of people who have sworn they've seen Obama's Long Form Birth Certificate, and that is says he was born in Kenya. Saying it doesn't make it so.

And, so you may ask, who would say such a thing if it were not true? That's easy:

liars.

The truth of wheter Cosby 'sexually assaulted'* women will never be known. We have a system to determine these things. It is a called the judicial system It is flawed. It lets the guilty off when there is not enough evidence to support a conviction, and it all-to-often condems the wrong people to years in prison.

But it is a means of determining guilt and punishment, warts and all, vastly superior to trial by media, and gossip.

I simply refuse to accept the allegations against Bill Cosby as made within a reasonable time. I do not know what happened. And no one here, or protesting him, does. They only people who may know the truth behind the allegations are Cosby, perhaps his wife and confidents, and the women making the allegations. And I say "may know " because time has a very strange effect on memories.

Note: 'sexual assault' is a very loose term, including everything from an unwanted touch on the butt, to rape. Not all the women who made allegations againts Cosby have claimed he drugged and raped them. About half, indeed, say they went on a date, and he made an pass at them.

Hours before Cosby took the stage, attorney Gloria Allred said three more women are accusing the comedian of drugging and sexually assaulting them in Las Vegas or Los Angeles between 1981 and 1996. Allred said at a news conference in Los Angeles that the accusations are too old for criminal charges or lawsuits

Cosby defense team has to be well prepared/ Alllred usually take cases she is sure to win for her clients, If the victim was minor, accusations are never too old. Las Vegas media reporters said..
